Guest guest
Dear Mark: Thank you for your email and your pleasing reply. Meditation is a good remedy I understand, but how do I focus I need to learn for my I have never succeeded in that also, my mind keeps thinking about many thing at one and the same time. Dear Shughangi: Glad you enjoyed it. What group did you say you joined? The meditation I've enjoyed is the fairly well known technique of Transcendental Meditation. And, yes, I understand your experience where it seems very difficult to try and 'stop thinking'. However, in the TM technuiqe the understandins is there, that #1, we're not trying to stop thinking, but in fact, we utilize the nature of thinking, and it's ability, really, to settle down, if 'it' can be presented, with an experience of increasing joy. See, the mind's nature is to think, because it's there, to lead us to fulfillment. So, we keep having thought after thought, after thought, until we find our life purpse, and then, eventually fulfillment. When we find fulfillment or contentment, the mind then, can be found in a state of deep peacefulness. The TM technique understands this inherent purpose of the mind's thinkings, and instead of trying to control it, or stop thinking, it teache's the mind, how to "take an inward direction", and once the mind, dips, inside, the experience is sooooo charming, and even, blissful, that the mind's found settling down, and enjoying that inner bliss. Check TM out at www.tm.org for more info. Nice talking with you.
