Hi all,

Someone asked me to chant this slokha, i do not want to chant without

knowing the meaning, so If any sanskrit experts give me the meaning

that would be helpful

dadhi shamkham tusha rabham ksheero darnava sambhavam

namaami shashinam somam shambhor mukuta bhooshanam

I understand from last 3 words it is a sloka on Lord Shiva, Thanks in

advance..

Dear friend,

This is a hymn used to pray to the Moon. Here is a simple translation:

dadhishankham = him - who is white like Curds and Conch

tushaaraabham = him - who is white like Snow

ksheerodaarNava-sambhavam = him - who was born from the ocean of Milk

shashinam = him - who has rabbit's image

shambhorMukuta-bhooshaNam = him - the decoration of crown of Shambhu

namaami = I salute

tam somam = HIM - the Moon

hope you find it useful

yours
