Dear Friends & Group Members:

Greetings!

I've been thinking for awhile about the importance of the field of

Astrology, becoming more scientific.

I'm always so fascinated by looking at 'Astrology' through both the eyes of

the Western & Eastern systems.

I think this is going to be more and more important over time, especially if

we ever hope to see a really true, modern appreciation and science of

Astrology, develop.

It's a little encouraging from the Jyotish or Vedic system because already,

In the East, it's appreciated in this very profound way.

Did you know they have whole Departments of Jyotish, in many major

Universities,

in India!

This knowledge is so well entrenched, there, it's just assumed that it

works.

As a result....

It's then used in very practical ways regarding 1) Childhood - Parenting, 2)

Education choices,

3) Career decisions, and 4) Marriage issues to name just a few areas.

I've often tried to think of some very easy and yet, profound ways in which

the reality and worth of Jyotish could be tested.

One thing that has occured to me, is to study the Moon's in people's charts.

There are a number of very sophisticated ways of measuring scientifically, a

person's emotional nature, and especially emotional stability.

For many people this is a very deep, and profound problem, their emotional

issues.

Even a modern ailment has been created called SAD, or Seasonal Adjustment

Dis-Order.

Then take into account all the millions of people who suffer, shyness,

self-conscious, emotional challenges, as well as anxieties, phoebias, and

deep emotional tramas, and depression.

Emotional depression of course is a complication in many people's attempts

at suicide.

Lately, too, a new concept in Modern Psycology has been developing which

'they're' calling Emotional Intelligence, or EQ after IQ.

Where IQ stands for Intelllectual Intelligence or Intelligence 'Quotient',

EQ stands for Emotional Intelligence.

I think this is an amazing development in the real appreciation of the Moon

in life!

Previously it was always assumed that intelligence was only related to

intellectual realities and strengths.

Now, the emotional side is being appreciated and this is a very powerful and

exciting development.

We could create a study on testing the Moon's in people's chart and compare

this with their #1) Emotional stability and #2) even this more sophisticated

EQ standard.

It should be fairly easy to create a study that articulates the tremendous

differences between those who are born with No Moon's, or very little one's

in their charts, and bigger and bigger, or Waxing Moon's,...

Of course we'd have to work into the strategy those with aggravated,

Malefic-Moon effects, because many people suffer emotional problems, due to

malefic influences from a number of sources, including especially, Mars,

Saturn, Rahu & Ketu.

Finally, we could round out the study, in terms of the ability of anyone to

increase their Emotional Intelligence through various Jyotish and/or Vedic

remedies.

Studies have already been done on the powerful Vedic remedy of Meditation.

Over the last 30, 35 years, a number of studies already, have shown that

regular meditation, actually even unfolds Intelligence!

This, itself is extremely profound, because it shows that whereas generally

it was believed that IQ, stopped growing around the age of 21, now it's been

demonstrated that IQ, is something that can continue to grow, all of one's

life.

Fun talking with you all, today.

Sincerely,

Mark Kincaid

What are these major universities in India, Mark which have astrology

departments and chairs (other than BHU)? I would love to know.

Thanks
