My moon sign is kataka (Cancer) and I have had many reading done by many internet companies (Astromandir, Indastro and Kamalkapoor). As everyone is well aware, the Sade Sati cycle is now in Cancer and will remain there for some time. I would like to know how much more brutal and malefic Lord Shani is to Kataka compared to other Zodiac signs. Is Kataka an enemy sign of Saturn? Also, do remedies do any good at all? I have tried many and they yeild almost no results. Does it matter how hard I work during this period or is all doomed for those who are born a Kataka? It qualifies the mind to learn, to be humble, to open its eyes to the nature. If mind has pre conceived notions, then Saturn's transit creates confusions, such that you search for the Truth. Saturn is not an enemy of the Moon but Moon is considered an enemy. Moon reacts to Saturn's entry into its house. Emotions splash or dry up. Decision making happens through Emotions disregarding the judgment. Mind is reactive and can make hasty decisions. Mind can be given to frustration, coldness, jealousy, etc. The above effects happen such that one can understand oneself and the Truth. By following the order of the nature, by being humble and accepting, Saturnian wishes are fulfilled, and it does not create the "problems" that it does. Have patience, forbearance and fortitude and loads of hardwork. Do work for work's sake and not for the pleasures you can buy with money and you shall sail through this 2 1/2 years of Sade Sati. Apart from what has been rightly stated about the effect of Saturn's transit thro'Cancer, I would like to add the following. Sade sathi effect for cancer subjects would have started 3 years ago,with the entry of saturn into gemini.In sept 04 saturn entered cancer, few weeks later retrograted and moved back into gemini and will ecome direct this month and return to cancer around mid may05. There are 4 years of sade sathi stilll to be gone thro. Hence you should observe happenings in your life for the next 4 years.The effects will be different for different persons based on the rising sign( Ascendant),further modified whether it is the first cycle, 2nd or 3rd. Usually stated unmarried girls have a good oppurtunity to settle down,some have changes in residence or job etc, health of parents becomes a cause for concern.for some shraddha is performed due passing away of one of the elders. Put in a nutshell, it is a challenging time,calling for all mental resouces to be marshalled.it is therefore recommended not to be adventerous but caution is the watchword.Drastic changes should be made after due consultations. Prayer to Lord Hanuman give good spiritual support,fasting on Saturdays . Many things will happen with or without your consent. This is the most dreaded phase in one's life. Elarata Saturn manifests as vicious attacks on health and wealth. You will be subject to trouble through enemies and will suffer calumny.
