Till then, here is a short note: Saturn is malefic for those who are arrogant and driven by lust for power and money. Saturn represents humility and senstivity and strives to inculcate the same values. Those people, who are under its influence, but do not adhere to Dharma and ill treat the elderly and poor, they are subject to the most destructive power of Saturn. Saturn attempts to demolish the exaggerated sense of ego. In this way, it is most benefic. However, when it demolishes the sense of ego through its destructive ways (destroying wealth, family, separating children, etc), then, it "appears" as malefic. It is a karmic planet for teaching fundamental values of life. It is a good question that you have asked. Do not stop reading about it from books and articles. The more you learn about Saturn, you'll be amazed how very few people know about its true nature.
