Dear Vinoo:

No, that is fine. When I do people's charts more formally I do take special

care to check the

rising sign. But for people who are looking for free advice, I don't really

have the time.

For those who I am talking to re. my research project, it's always in my

mind to be careful about

the rising time, because the time may always be off.

That's another reason why I ask people if they've ever had a rectification

done.

Finally, the best 'test' really of our Jyotish, is the realities in our

lives.

When someone asks if they can improve this or that quality or experience,

you can hear in

their very words, the malefic problems that are in their chart.

The Jyotish, then, is a good verification that yes, indeed, this is where

the problem resides.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Mark Kincaid

Dear Mark,

Thank you for your response.

It is what shows up as the Ascendent('As') on Jh right? I was curious

because once you have time of birth and GeoCoords Jh gives the Asc to you

pretty accurately. Where as when you ask people, especially newbies, I have

seen them making mistakes, for e.g. just yesterday Mr. P Nair wrote to you

that his rising sign is Leo. Whereas if you feed in the GeoCoords and birth

time into Jh you can see that the 'As' is actually Sg and that Leo is

actually his Sun-sign - (28th Aug).

If I am wrong or nosey - I apologise. I hope I am helpful.

Thanks & regards,

Vinoo

'RisingSign'? > Mark Kincaid

Dear Vinoo:

Rising sign, means the sign, or constellation that's literally rising on the

east horizon, at the exact moment of our births...

I ask, generally people who live in far away places where it's a little more

difficult for me to always be looking up their 'rising sign'..

but, it is important because it sets the entire chart and determines what

houses, all our planets are rushing through....

Can you help me understand what you mean by 'Rising Sign'?

Dear Mark,

Your mails and explanations are often very interesting.

However will you help me understand what you mean by 'Rising Sign'? I have

seen you ask for the 'Rising Sign' often.

With thanks and regards,

Vinoo
