*** Raghunatha ji,

<<< That was a fantastic article on the planets and their

deblitation states.>>>

Thank you!

<<< I would also suggest to continue the reminder of the two,

Neecha Bhanga / Raja Yoga and also the Exaltations in a similar

way, if your time permits.>>>

Actually, exaltations have been covered by Shri Bhasin in his

book Astrology in Vedas. In fact, this book inspired me to write

this article.

*** Inder ji,

<<< This is a good article. >>>

Thanks!

<<< 1] if we are taking a degree of point. deepest fall, then

should not we go to higher degree varga say d-9 or d-30 instead

of drekena.>>>

Drekkanas were chosen solely for the fact that they have poetic

descriptions. If any of the other divisions have similar

descriptions, I would be glad to use them!

<<< 2]Nakshtra pada lord ship ,I was not aware of. I will look

into this. >>>

Well, let us take Mesha. It has 9 nakshatra padas, and in

Navamsa, it can be broken into 9 parts. So, each pada

corresponds to a Navamsa, and automatically, the lord of the

Navamsa becomes the lord of the Pada.

1 MESH/1 ASWI/1 KUJA

2 MESH/2 ASWI/2 SUKR

3 MESH/3 ASWI/3 BUDD

4 MESH/4 ASWI/4 CHAN

5 MESH/5 BHAR/1 SURY

6 MESH/6 BHAR/2 BUDD

7 MESH/7 BHAR/3 SUKR

8 MESH/8 BHAR/4 KUJA

9 MESH/9 KRIT/1 GURU

The first Navamsa of Mesha is ruled by own lord Kuja, and also

corresponds to the 1st pada of Aswini, which is ruled by Ketu.

Since the 1st Navamsa of Mesha corresponds to the 1st pada of

Aswini, we could treat Kuja as the ruler of the first pada

ofAswini. This is what I meant.

<<< 3]The neecha/ucha is mostly seen with reference to the

nature of planets and rasis. This aspect, mostly you have

ignored. >>>

I don't understand what this means. Could you please rephrase

it?

Dear Balaji,

A very nice effort on debilation of planet.

The name seems to be "Neecha Bhanga" instead of "Neecha Bhanga Raja

Yoga"

A few lines on Neecha Banga:-

(1) There should not be any Yoga Bhanga (falling away of an good

combination). Especially the sign/constellation dispositor should not

be weak or badly placed from the lagna or the Moon or should not be

significator of malefic and yoga bhanga houses (3,6,11,8,12). The

sign dispositor/constellation dispositor forms the ADHARA ( the

permanent base which supports or sustains the good results of a

planet)

(2) The planet cancelling debilitation should not get an aspect from

its sign of debilitation/detriment through any other planet

especially through Moon and Sun. For example Venus cancelling

debilition of Mercury should not be aspected by Moon from Virgo

(3) The principle of Neecha Bhanga is not applicable in case of

longevity significations. (For example- in case of Aries Lagna, Mars

lagna and 8th lord in Cancer and Sun/Moon in Aries can not support

the longevity of the horoscope.

(4) Similarly if the planet giving Neecha Bhanga is in Kendra from

Lagna but is badly placed from the Moon or vice-versa its power to

cancel the debilitation is greatly reduced.

With regards to all

M.Tripathy
