Dear members,

Namasthe! My humble attempt on the Puzzle:

I use Raman Ayanamsa.

Basic Horoscope:

Ascendant is Cancer with second Lord Sun and 3rd and 12th Lord Mercury in

it. Sun rules the second house which indicates finance, family etc and can

be broadly classified as supporting elements of life. Mercury's influence of

the 12th house is greater due to the presence of Saturn in it. 12th house

relates to Loss, Liberation, and Liabilities etc. Jupiter becomes exalted

because of his retrograde motion.

The Sun and Jupiter are divine in nature and indicate Satvik Guna or

philosophical disposition. Mercury represents Rajas Guna or

commanding/authoritative disposition.

Ascendant Lord Moon is placed in the 6th, the house of threats along with

Rahu and viewed by Saturn, 7th and 8th lord and a natural malefic. Moon is

in friend's house and his association with Rahu gives him superior

intelligence. Saturn's influence as 7th lord is not quite favorable but his

association with Ketu can give the native knowledge about occult sciences.

Vimshottari Dasa during the time of the event:

Moon MD: 2001-10-21 - 2011-10-22

Jup AD: 2004-09-21 - 2006-01-18

Sat PD: 2004-11-24 - 2005-02-07

The Moon's Dasa indicates something related to the Native. Jupiter is the

lord of the 6th and 9th. The 6th house gains prominence due to the presence

of more number of planets. A threat in terms of disease, debt, enemies etc

is indicated. Saturn as the 8th lord in the 12th gives rise to Vipareetha

Raja Yoga. Such a combination is usually characterized by heavy loss in the

beginning leading to positive results.

The 10th lord Mars is placed in his own house, in Moolathrikona in the 10th.

Hence Chaturaseeti sama dasa is applicable:

Sun MD: 2001-05-13 - 2013-05-14

Mars AD: 2004-10-20 - 2006-07-06

Mars PD: 2004-10-20 - 2005-01-15

Sun, lord of the 2nd is placed in the Lagna. Sun is a nethra karaka or rules

the eyes and second Bhava relates to eyes. Mars, 10th lord is in his

Moolathrikona. The 10th house is known as Karmasthana or the house of duty.

Mars is a karaka for weapons, surgical instruments, wounds, operation etc.

The Tajaka chart or the Annual Progressed chart for Year 2004 gives more

insight.

August 9, 2004

Time: 5:53:57

Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)

Place: 79 E 06' 00", 21 N 09' 00"

Nagpur, India

The Varsheshwara is Moon and as he does not aspect the ascendant, Mudda Dasa

is considered.

Mudda/Vimsottari Dasa (started from Moon):

Sat MD: 2004-11-28 - 2005-01-23

Ven AD: 2004-12-18 - 2004-12-27

Merc PD: 2004-12-25 - 2004-12-27

In progressed chart, Saturn as the 8th and 9th lord is placed in the

Ascendant indicating that the incident might be related the physical body.

Venus as the 5th and 12th lord is again placed in the ascendant and aspects

7th house. A Saturn-Venus or Venus-Saturn combination is usually associated

with great disturbance. Mercury is a karaka for outer layer of the body and

in the Navamsa, he is placed in the 6th house.

Transits:

On 26th Dec 2004, Sun (Mahadasa lord) is in same house as the natal Moon and

Mars (Antardasa lord) is in the 12th from the natal Moon. The Dasa

considered is Chaturaseeti sama dasa. Mars is along with Mercury, karaka for

outer layer of the body and Venus, karaka for beauty or betterment of human

body.

The above analysis indicates a negative incident ultimately giving positive

results. The native might have undergone a surgery with regard to his eye,

possibly cataract, and the vision would have improved considerably.

Om Tat Sat,

Raman Suprajarama
