Earthquake hits northwest China, no casualty reported:

[World News]: Beijing, Jan 19 : A moderate earthquake measuring 4.7

on the Richter scale struck northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur

autonomous region today but there was no report of any casualty.

 

The quake hit Wensu county in Aksu prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur

Autonomous Region at 2.28 pm, the official Xinhua news agency quoted

an official with the regional seismological bureau as saying.

 

The epicentre of the quake was 40 km north of Wensu county, which is

1,100 km away from Urumqi, the regional capital.

Jan 17th was predicted to cause major quake. This was predicted

as

Moon was with Rahu in close proximity . 18th also could be

predicted

to result in quake as Moon is still in Mesha with Rahu in VM.

Since self did not specify 18th , no credit is taken .
