In to-days world thinking and logic has been placed on high pedastal compared to feeling and emotions. This does not nessarily means that logical thinking always means correct results. Say , a person comes to your house and your mother immediately feels that he is a bad charcter and can be harmful, so she becomes cautious. Your thinking and logic says that we have to be couteous or unless proved...., or no indication... etc. But later you may find that what your mother felt was very correct. There can be many such instances, like you meet some one and feel that he/she will be long term relations. Certain situation you may feel that they would benefit you evenif these look logically hopeless. Astrologically good or bad will be decided by TIME and not your thinking or feeling. However, this is correct that thinking Mercury finds itself quite odd and out of place in emotional world of Pisces/Cancer/Scorpio. For example a depressed person may contemplate suicide and his thinking will take him on those lines as well .... logic might or might not be a part of such thinking .. In a large way I feel how planetary configuration affect us is by influencing our thinking to create perceptions that make u behave/act in a way thereby leading to action and consequences ... Mercury/Mars while bestows intelligence and logic can make them work against you by making you justify your actions rather than follow the logical path based on other configurations .. In such cases a persons intelligence becomes his biggest hinderance ! I sometimes wonder if the TIME that you are mentioning is just as expression what contributes to your thinking at a given point of time .. that is either logic or feeling ... this based on the planet that is prevalent at the point of instance ... If you look at it .. logic always delves on certanity while thinking goes into the relm of uncertainity ... in the example that u have mentioned ... rightly so Logic would tell u not to judge the person ... which shows a certain course of action to be courteous ... feeling might make u wary of dealings with that person .... but right conduct and maturity would tell u to follow the logic and not the feeling when treating the person ... Like wise signs do matter for thinking and feeling type of classification.If some one like having Aries as influencing sign his feeling and thinking is certainly differnt from the kind of sign leo.otherwise attributing the four elements of Fire,Earth,Airy and water to various signs would not have hold any significance if these signs have no relation to thinking and feeling.Accordingly all Airy and watery signs signify thinking and all fiery and earthy signs relate to feeling category.This analogy also has also to be kept in mind while considering bahvas.When we talk of of 5th or 9th bhava we also consider with reference to thinking and 9th bhava as feeling type.Iam sure members would be inclined to their views instead of limiting thinking and feeling types as onlt planetary significance.In terms of Astrology it is sum total bue not from stand alonepositions and movements of palnets.Planets role however I see as to maintain adynamic character of life at didfferent points of time. I think the feelings at the level of Ahamkar and mann are due to enticements,pride etc. hence leads us to wrong. Budhdhi thinks logically. But Viveka can decide whether going with feeling or with logic is right. The morality,doing something for others,sacrifice comes from feeling not from logic.
