Nagraj ji,

 

I went through your brother's chart. His Lagna is Mesha, and

Lagnadipati is in the 5th, subject to Papa Katari Yoga by Rahu

and Sani, besides being Neecha in Navamsa. His dispositor Surya

is Neecha in Rasi, and technically, by being in Kendra from both

Chandra and Lagna, it should get Neecha Banga Raja Yoga, but

since both Chandra and Lagnadipati are not strong, I doubt if

this will happen--always, the graha facilitating Neecha Banga

should possess strength, failing which Neecha Banga or Neecha

Banga Raja Yoga exists only in name.

 

He is running Sani Dasa [Apr 1999 - Apr 2018] and Budha Bukti

[Apr 2002 - Jan 2005]. Sani is the lord of the 10th and the 11th

in the 6th, and this should affect these two houses adversely.

Sani is also subject to Papa Katari Yoga by Kuja and Surya.

Budha gives Vipareeta Raja Yoga by being the lord of the 6th in

the 6th, but I have also heard that if the lord of the 6th is

more powerful than the Lagnadipati, then one's enemies may get

the upper hand. You could confirm if this is true in your

brother's case.

 

Another big negative in your brother's chart is that the lord of

the 9th, Guru, is stuck in a Rasi Sandi, and has not even

travelled 1 degree in Tula Rasi. Since the lords of the 1st,

5th, and the 9th are afflicted in one way or the other,

difficulties will arise.

 

Regarding his education, the 2nd is responsible for this. Though

this is aspected by own lord Sukra, who is Uccha in Navamsa, the

significances are spoilt because Sukra is in the 8th. This could

have resulted in his being poor in education. Chandra, who

represents the mind, also needs to be studied, and since your

brother was born on a Sukla Pratama, when Chandra is extremely

weak, I think that he will have a wavering mind, and find it

difficult to concentrate.

 

Regarding his business - I do not want to dissuade him, but I'm

not sure if this is wise. For business, the 2nd (wealth), 11th

(profit), 10th (career), 7th (partners), and 12th (loss) should

be seen. The 2nd and the 7th are afflicted because their lord is

in a dushtana house. The 10th is occupied by Ketu, and its lord

is with a dushtana lord, in a dushtana house. The 11th lord is

also the 10th lord, but the 11th gets the benefic aspect of Guru

and Lagnadipati Kuja. The 12th is aspected by Sani, and since

Sani destroys the house he sees, this is a plus point. But,

overall, I don't know if business will be ideal for your

brother. Maybe, he could seek some work, gain some proficiency,

and then contemplate a business of his own.

 

Regarding Kala Sarpa Dosha, well, everybody has his own opinion

about this. Some say that even if the Lagna is outside, as in

your brother's case, the effects are minimized. I think that,

for mental satisfaction if nothing else, your brother should do

some remedy, and this, I think, should be left to the family

astrologer to decide. Personally, I believe that, while Kala

Sarpa Dosha is slightly limiting, it is not a very serious

affliction.

 

>From a Gochara perspective, Guru (12), Sani (10), Rahu (7), and

Ketu (1) are all inimically placed. Maybe, he should wait for a

few years, until Guru is in his 2nd house and Sani in the 11th,

and then contemplate something like business. If he tries his

hand at business now, Guru in the 12th may result in losses.

The Tithi is afflicted by Kuja, though Sukra offers some

protection. Kuja and Sani afflict day, but Guru and Sukra

effectively overthrow their malevolent designs. Guru also

protects name from Ketu, but Lagna is afflicted by Sani, without

any benefic interference.

 

The Janma Nakshtra (1) is occupied by Ketu and aspected by

Surya, though Budha offers some protection because he is Vakra.

However, Ketu's aspect on the Karma Nakshtra (10) means some

problems on the work front. The Sanghtaic Nakshtra (16) is

affected by both Sukra and Kuja, and they might balance each

other out. Guru saves the Adhana Nakshatra (19) and the Raj

Nakshatra (26), which can lead to achievement, but Sani's aspect

on the Manas Nakshatra (25) will cause mental tensions, made

worse because Sani is Vakra. I would advice your brother to pray

to God, and take the right decision after consulting his elders,

and looking at market conditions in the area of the business of

his choice.
