Some time ago, an old intelligent grandmother, who had learnt

Jyotish on her own, told me that Guru, when he is Lagnadipati,

causes difficulties even if well placed because of Kendradipati

Dosha. I had not believed this then, but from your chart, some

of this seems to be true.

 

You have Meena Lagna, and Guru is in the 10th in his own house,

giving you Hamsa Yoga. Hamsa Yoga is strengthened from Chandra

Lagna too because Guru and Chandra are Sama Saptaka, though the

Gaja Kesari Yoga thus created will not be very efficient because

Chandra is very weak, having travelled less than 1 degree in

Mituna.

 

You are running Guru Dasa [Feb 1994 - Feb 2010], and

technically, since Guru is only aspected by Chandra, and is thus

free from malefic influences, things should be fine. However,

Guru is Neecha in Dasamsa, which concerns profession, you so you

could be facing difficulties.

 

Most of the Buktis in Guru Dasa have not been good either. In

Guru's own Bukti in Guru Dasa, you would still have faced the

effects of Rahu Dasa. In Sani Bukti, you would have faced

problems because Sani is the lord of the 12th. Budha Bukti would

have also not been great because Budha is in a Rasi Sandi,

suffers from Kendradipati Dosha, is aspected by Sani, is Neecha

in Navamsa, and finally, his Budha's dispositor Chandra is not

strong. Ketu Bukti would have also caused some heartaches

because Ketu is in a Rasi Sandi, and though Vargotamma, is

aspected by Sani, and is conjunct Sukra, the lord of the 8th.

Still, thanks to "Kuja vad Ketu," there would have been some

benefits. Sukra Bukti would not have been good because of

Sukra's ownership of a dushtana, and also because Sukra is

eclipsed by Ketu.

 

Now, you are running Surya Bukti [Aug 2004 - Jun 2005]. Surya

gives you Vipareeta Raja Yoga, but the lord of the 6th is

associated with diseases and ill health, and this is perhaps

what is plagueing you now.

 

One also needs to consider the strengths of the lords of the

1st, 5th, and 9th. The Lord of the 1st, Guru has already been

dealt with. Chandra, the lord of the 5th, is weak due to being

caught in Rasi Sandi, and also because of Papa Katari Yoga by

Sani and Ketu. Also, since you were botn on a Krishna Navami,

Chandra's strength was low. The lord of the 9th, Kuja, is in the

house of friend Surya, but Surya is a malefic because it owns

the 6th. Kuja is badly eclipsed by Surya, who is less than 2

degrees away, and this robs Kuja of his powers. This is bad

because Kuja is in charge of your luck. A weak 9th lord means a

lack of luck, notwithstanding the strength of the Lagna and the

Lagnadipati.

 

For money, the 2nd house and the 11th houses are important. The

2nd house is owned by Kuja, who has already been dealt with.

Fortunately, Guru aspects this house, and increases your

fortunes. Insofar as the 11th is concerned, it is occupied by

Rahu, and aspected by Sukra and Budha, who, though being Subha

Grahas, are functional malefics due to ownership. Technically,

any graha does well in the 11th, but Rahu Dasa [Feb 1976 - Feb

1994] would have been painful because of the aspects of these

functional malefics. Additionally, as per "Sani Vad Rahu," Rahu

would have caused losses during his period.

 

As per Gochara, Sani (2), Guru (4), and Ketu (5) are badly

placed, though Rahu (11) is helpful. Sani will shortly moveback

to Mituna, your Janma Rasi, and this could further aggrevate the

problems. However, Guru's movement into the 5th in Aug-Sep 2005

will help matters.

The score is not bad, and the only major affliction is of Sani

to Name, especially since Sani is Vakra and thus more malefic.

Though Surya aspects Lagna, its effects are nullified by Guru,

who is also aspecting Tithi and Day.

 

Your Janma Nakshatra (1) is not afflicted in any way, and this

is a great plus. Budha's aspect on Karma Nakshtra (10) and

Vinash Nakshtra (23) will help you rise in your career and

overthrow your enemies because Budha is Vakra. Guru's aspect on

the Sanghtaic Nakshtra (16) will also help you to get

cooperation from those around you, but Kuja's aspect on Adhana

Nakshatra (19) and Raj Nakshatra (26) may hold back the promise

of growth. Additionally, the aspect of Ketu on Abhishek

Nakshatra (27) will not help you enjoy the fruits of your hard

work, though some of this effect is offset by Sukra.

 

It is not right for me to as if your sufferings are

insignificant, but let me just say that, insofar as my limited

knowledge of Jyotish goes, I have seen people go through a lot

of worse things. Remember, all said and done, Guru will help

you, though the Buktis have been unfriendly. Console yourself

with the thought that, while things are not going well, they

could have been a lot worse if Dasa Natha Guru was not friendly.

Also, keep praying to God to help you to face your difficulties

boldly, and also to reduce them.
