Guest guest
Dear Gentlepeople: My experience is related in a round-about way with Jyotish so I'm posting it here. I was visiting Tryambakeshwar near Nasik (Maharastra), the home of the 10th Shiv Ling of total of 12 Shiva Lings located in India for conducting Narayana Nag Bali (a sacred rite for appeasing the souls of the ancestors). The ceremony required that I bathe in a Kund (a public bath) before beginning the ceremony). When I arrived at this bathing place, I was appalled to see thousands of people bathing in the same static body of water which was emitting a foul smell as well. I refused to bathe in this water and told my priest that I was canceling the Narayana-Nag-Bali ceremony and was going back to the United States. As I was walking away, a middle aged man who had been watching my disgust at the public bathing approached me and said that "when you come to God, come there as a zero, leave behind your ego and status, I guarantee that if you bathe in this public pool of the water of river Godavri, you won't fall sick or get any skin disease." This statement from a stranger struck me like a lightning. I returned back, bathed in the public pool where thousands others were bathing, continued bathing for the three days I was there for the ceremony, completed the ceremony that I almost walked away from and I felt GREAT, I felt FREE, all the prejudices (possibly based on ego) I had on bathing in a dirty public pool was gone. This same man asked me to meet him at the Shiva temple on the 3rd day. When I met him, he gave me a YELLOW loin cloth (dhoti) that I had to wear around my waist—no undearwear, no other clothing or accessories were allowed—walking around with nothing on except a piece of cloth felt strange as well. Then, this man took me to the inner-sanctum of the Shiva temple where he asked me to touch the THREE Lingas and pray. This was unbelievable—there were millionaires, billionairs and other powerful people getting off their big, fancy cars and waiting in line for hours and hours to get one glimpse of the Shiva Lingas through a reflection in a mirror placed on the roof of the temple AND here I was, literally a NOBODY in India or anywhere else in the world, actually touching the three Lingas located in the innermost sanctum of the temple. This man never accepted a penny from me, didn't give me his address and disapppeared into the thousands of people waiting outside the temple after I came out of the inner-sanctum of the temple. This indeed was an uncanny, humiliating and a great spiritual experience for me. All my ego (actual as well as sub-conscious) was washed away with those public baths in the pool of the water from Godavri river. Now connecting this to Jyotish—I was born with an Exhalted Jupiter placed in the ninth house, I feel this Jupiter is bound to give such uncanny spiritual and religious experiences. At the time of my experience (November 18, 19, 20), I was running Mar-Moon-Rahu. Moon antardasa as the 9th lord would give such an experience, but why during Rahu sub period that I don't understand. Sanjay (Rath) had told me a couple of months back that Mars or Jupiter located in 2nd from Moon is a powerful Raj-yog and I'll experience Raj-yog results in Mars-Moon rather than the bad results that I had predicted based on 2-12 relationship between Mars and Moon. Sanjay was right, I was wrong. -- Being able to travel to the 10th Shiva Linga and be able to actually touch the Lingas and pray is indeed a Raj-yog result for a Hindu. Birth detail: June 14, 1967; Bombay, 5.29 pm. Hope the founder and other members of this board don't get mad at me for posting somewhat non-Jyotish material. Guest guest
Dear Mukund, Regarding your experience at Trayambakeshwar, you were initially at the body level (Annamaya). You were worried about foul smell, skin disease, falling sick etc. At the end, you reached the mental (Manomaya), later the intellect (Vijnanamaya) and finally the all great bliss (Anandamaya). Normally only yogis will be able to experience such things. You are really lucky and great. Guest guest
Dear Mukund, Good experience. As I was studying your chart [no 1 in my files] for learning KP during extroexpert days. I try analyse your chart whenever you say some thing. I can relate your experience with Kp analysis. Sometimes it becomes complex to narrate and understand the linkages in KP termonology, but it is easy/simple for any KP student. What you narrated is the experiece not atall related to any Rajyoga etc. It is related to 12th and 8th house mainly ,as also, 11th wish fulfilment and 10th house pilgramage. My analysis is like this: Saturn is in your 5th house in Pisces and it is in the star as well as sub of Mercury. So through 5th house your Sat is giving you predominently Mercury in 8th house results. In Kp we say that Saturn is very strong significator of 8th house. Mercury in 8th also means that you will have to go for such journeys related to pitrapooja etc and attend such sort of ceremonies, besides other things of 8th house Mercury. Ketu in 12th also show such experience. Now consider what Rahu tells. In KP planet give results of the star and sub lord postings. Rahu in your case is in Ketu star and Saturn sub. So it is giving you 12th and 8th house spritual experiences. Dasa lord Mars is in Mercury sign and 11th house --some gainful wishfulfilment related to Mercury. Bhukti lord Moon is in Venus star (Venus in 9th house with Jupiter) and sub of Moon meaning signifying Venus (religious experience through 10th pilgrimage). So both dasa lord and bhukti lord agree with the Rahu results. In transit we see KP ways: Dasa lord in sub of Saturn. Bhukti lord came also in sub of Saturn. Rahu in its own sub and star of Ketu. Sun also came is sub of Rahu then on 20th in sub of Saturn. All these transits agree. This can be easily seen by KP. Question is -- could it be seen prior to happening. The answer is: it is very difficult to predict events. It is easy to see the general conditions. Good wishes Inder -- In , "monmuk111" <monmuk111> wrote: > > Dear Gentlepeople: > > My experience is related in a round-about way with Jyotish so I'm > posting it here. > > I was visiting Tryambakeshwar near Nasik (Maharastra), the home of > the 10th Shiv Ling of total of 12 Shiva Lings located in India for > conducting Narayana Nag Bali (a sacred rite for appeasing the souls > of the ancestors). > > The ceremony required that I bathe in a Kund (a public bath) before > beginning the ceremony). Guest guest
Hello Inder: Thanks for writing the KP analysis. Ya, I agree pilgrimages are primarily 12th house attributes and Tarpan/Shraddh, such ceremonies are primarily 8th house attributes. For my Mars-Moon-Rahu, I was able to establish some connection of Mars in Virgo with the 8th house (Mercury is located in the 8th) and Moon lording the 9th house of religion would give such pilgrimages. However, Rahu is GENERALLY the spoiler of such religious journeys. So, why did my pilgrimage happen in Rahu sub-sub? Don't know. Rahu is such a strange planet!! The Gurus with 20/30+ years experience of Jyotish have conviniently kept quite on Rahu. I bought one book specifically on Rahu and very recently bought another book published in England on Rahu and both seem to say nothing more on Rahu than what is already known. One dictum I strongly disagree with is "Shani vad Rahu," i.e. Rahu is like Shani. Rahu is definitely NOT like Shani, Rahu is the planet of extremes--extreme pain and extreme pleasure, Shani is the planet of dullness and slowness, there isn't an element of extremity or uncertanity in the results given by Shani. Guest guest
Dear Mukund, As far as KP is concerned there is no confusion regarding Rahu. You pl read what Sh KS krishnamurty has written on Rahu/Ketu. Rahu will give the results as per its star and sub posting. Rahu is source, Star is nature of results and sub is final outcome. In your case Mars is aspecting Rahu in Mars house. So that means you are acting for your wishfulfilment.[ Mars 1st and 11th] Rahu is in star of Ketu means 12th and 9th house results [Ketu in 12 in Venus house, venus in 9]. And most important Rahu is in sub of Saturn and Saturn is strong significator of Mercury in 8th. So you travelled (3rd), homewards (4th), initiated Mantra/pooja(5th) which resulted in 8th house matters of completion of Kriya/Shradha. Rahu shows your confusion/perplexity and dirty conditions but the results are govrned by Sat to Mercury.
