Pinda Daan

Namaste to all the Guru's of astrology and all the learned and wise

members,

 

i want to know about pinda daan, im from mumbai, it is learnt that

for pinda daan of ladies one has to go to Sidhpur (in gujrat state)

and for gents , pinda daan to be done at Gayaji (in Bengal),

badrinath, varansi(banaras)

 

i want to know how many places one has to go for pinda daan for

their ancestors, and who can go from ones family for this karma

 

few people say only the elder son must go, but what if elder son is

not willing to go, or due to ny reason not able to go for pinda daan,

 

it is also learnt that, if one's ancestors are not satisfied, they

curse or in horoscope, many of the astrologers/pandits say it as

Pitru dosha,

 

which should the auspicious peroid to go (krishna paksha or shukla

paksha)

 

please guide in this regard

Pinda dan can be done in your hometown itself. You need not go anywhere. You can

do it in various pilgrim centres as well- like Gaya, Kasi, Rameswaram, Prayag,

Nasik etc.

What is most important is your mental attitude. Pitru Yajna is only one of the

The 5 yajnas you should do daily in a simple manner. Pitrus are spirits. They

depend on your offerings for their food. They will bless the people who perform
