Guest guest
Navamsa charts in south india is considered eually important as birth chart. If Birth chart is self then, Navamsa is considerd dharma, second half ( spouse) of your self. Navamsa means 9th part of a rashi. Navamsa is sometimes given more importance than rashi chart. I North Inida, Moon chart is made along with Birth Chart. But Navamsa got more importance in Vedic astrology. For example, If planet is debilitated in Birth horoscope, but it is exalted in Nvamsa, then planet is considered benefic and is competent enough to give good results. In some astrlogical books, this condition is known as Vipreet Rajoga Navamsa chart is used primarily to look into marriage aspects and aspects related to spouse. Guest guest
Hi Taanika, The basic chart is the Rasi chart, which is a synopsis of everything to do with a person. There are many divisional chart, each of which focus on a separate aspect of a person's life. The Navamsa chart you mentioned, shows the Dharma of the person. Dharma can be loosely translated as the purpose of your life, or the duties you need to perform in this life. Marriage is a Dharmic act, hence the indications of the spouse are seen in the Navamsa. (They are also seen from the 7th house, the UL, the DK and lords of the same.) And, yes, this is perhaps the most important divisional chart. (Maharshi Parashara classified Shastyamsa as THE most important chart since it shows the past life of the person, thereby explaining everything re. this life, but the problem is that the birth time has to be accurate to fracitons of the second for this to be accurate.) Indications in the Navamsa strongly color the ones from the Rasi chart, i.e. strenghten when similar and dilute when different. Hope that helps, Venkatarama Sreelatha , "taanika" <taanika> wrote: > > Hello Inder > I was under the impression that Navamsa Chart stands for spouse hence > it is of importance for all but more so for unmarried ppl. Guest guest
Dear Taanika, If navamsha stands for or represents one's 'spouse' then should it not be more important for married people :-)?
