Guest guest
Dear Arvind, A dispositor of a planet is the lord of the sign where the planet is placed. e.g. If Sun occupies Aries, Mars will be Sun’s dispositor. If he occupies Taurus, Venus will be Sun’s dispositor and so on. For the role of dispositor, you may read the book “Dispositors in Astrology” by J N Bhasin. Good luck. Guest guest
dispositors are not fixed and have often misspelled in some texts as depositors. Let us say lagna is cancer and moon is in leo. Since leo is ruled by sun, the dispositor of lagnesha (and by reference, lagna) will be sun. A better term would be 'representative' or surrogate. Sun in this case would be the supporter or secondary significator for lagna and moon in this chart. If moon was in sagittarius, jupiter would have become this secondary ruler or supporting planet. If the primary ruler of a house and dispositor are forming good yogas, it can lead to a significant fortification of the primary house (lagna in our example). The 'final dispositor' you see in some horoscope is based on finding the dispositor of the dispositor and continuing till you find the final planet that refers back to the original planet. I am assuming that you are an experienced student of jyotish to ask this question, so if all or most planets are in the same sign in a chart (like recently discussed), you would likely end up with one or two planets that are the final dispositor. This planet then becomes significant in the nativity's life. Has been covered by MC Jain and Rattanlal in their books. In Lata Mangeshkar's chart, venus is the final dispositor in 6 out of 9 instances. Venus dasha ran from 1951 to 1971. Venus is strong in kendra and directional strength and aspects the 10th fully. 1948 to 58 happens to be the time when she ran the dasha of 10th house. This is aquarius where her pada of 2nd house is placed. Her voice primarily, and technical aspects secondarily was what captured the souls of millions and her place was secured, through her voice and singing, for decades to follow. No one can be successful as a celebrity and as a public figure without the relevant padas being cooperative -- one of the important contributions to modern astrology given directly or by derivation by Rath and Rao (PVR Narasimha). I will leave it at that, as a beginning. I am sure the erudite scholars on this board don't want to suffer me on and one ... :-) RR , ArvindRaj <rajendracholan4u> wrote: > Dear list, > How the dispositor of a planet is calculated or > each planet have fixed dispositors ? > Please update me on this and also provide me the list > of dispositors for each planet. > > Regards > Arvind > > > > > > > Check out the new Front Page. > www. Guest guest
Dear RR Ji, I didnt get the "final dispositor" point... For eg I have moon, mars, saturn, rahu and jupiter in leo. So all the planets' dispositor should be sun - right ? (I have sun and mercury in taurus, venus in gemini) Or we drill down to like Disp. of moon -> Sun : Disp. of sun -> venus Disp. of venus -> mercury : mercury's disp will be again venus - So final disp will be Venus and...Similarlly drill down for other planets ? Guest guest
no, it does not have to be in one step, although with planets clustered in one or two signs, would mean potentially fewer planets would assume the dispositor role and so the likelihood of there being a single final dispositor increases. If sun is in aries, mars is in sagittarius, jupiter is in libra and venus is in pisces, jupiter becomes the final dispositor since the circle completes at that point (Su-Ma-Ju-Ve-Ju) Similarly if all planets are in virgo, then mercury becomes the final dispositor if you do not include the nodes.
