Kavitha ji,

I have rarely studied the charts of anybody who is not at least

13 years old, and I dislike predicting death. However, since

this is an important issue for you, I'm making a rare exception.

Your son was born with Tula Lagna, and while the Lagna is at the

edge of the sign and occupied by Ketu, the Lagnadipati Sukran is

getting Dik Bala in the 4th house, and is otherwise unafflicted.

This is something in his favour. However, he was born in

Satabisheka, the star of Rahu, and is running Rahu Dasa right

now.

You have to understand that death is caused by planets

associated with the 2nd and the 7th houses from Lagna or

Chandra. Rahu is in the 7th, and he will behave like his

dispositor Kuja, who is a double maraka because he owns the 2nd

and the 7th. Rahu is aspected by Guru, who is a maraka because

he owns the 2nd from Chandra Lagna. Again, from Chandra Lagna,

Guru is in the 7th, a marakastana. Your son is running Surya

Bukti right now, from Aug 2004 onwards, and since Surya is the

lord of the 7th from Chandra Lagna, this could be a little

dangerous.

Chandra Bukti from Jun 2005 may not be too dangerous, but Kuja

Bukti from Dec 2006 may not be auspicious, because Kuja is in

the 2nd, a Marakastana, from Chandra. He also owns the 2nd and

the 7th from Lagna. Broadly speaking, Rahu, Kuja, Surya and

Guru, thanks to their association with the Marakastanas either

from Lagna or Chandra Lagna, could threaten life. Ironically,

everybody's favourite "subha graha," Guru, is quite dangerous

because, from Chandra Lagna, he is the lord of one Marakastana

(the 2nd) in another (the 7th).

Of course, one must remember the dictum "Sani Vad Rahu," which

means that Rahu will also behave like Sani. Sani is a Raja Yoga

Karaka for Tula Lagna, though I don't know if this will help in

the issue of life and death.

Could one conclude that, given the grim scenario above, death is

certain? No way! Death and life are in the hands of the

Almighty, and may at times be warded off by prayers.

If I may offer a suggestion, I would like to request you to

chant the following Mantra dedicated to Lord Narasimha:

Ugram Veeram Mahavishnum

Jwalantham Sarvathomukham

Nrisimham Bheeshanam Bhadram

Mrityor Mrityu Namamyaham.

This is a small mantra, but its power is immense, and I have

found much solace by chanting this mantra time and again. Some

may dissuade you saying that Narasimha is a fierce God, but I

have not seen any other diety possessing such power, or even

such speed when rushing to the aid of His devotees. Chant it

with full faith, it may work wonders.

In SBC, Guru, Sukra, Budha, and Chandra are benefic, while the

rest are malefic. One sees sensitive points like Lagna, Star,

Tithi, Day, and Name, and if these are all badly afflicted, it

could be dangerous. In your son's case, the Lagna is afflicted

by Sani and Kuja, though some protection is offered by Budha.

Budha also protects tithi, while Guru and Sukra fortify the day

of birth.

One also sees some sensitive nakshatras, and in your son's case,

Janma Nakshtra (1) is afflicted by Surya, Sani, and Ketu, with

no benefic involvement. The affliction of Uday Nakshtra (18) by

Kuja could be harmful, as is the affliction of the Adhana

Nakshatra (19) by both Surya and Ketu. Kuja also afflicts the

Vinash Nakshtra (23), which could cause major harm. The sole

benefic aspect is provided by Budh on the Abhishek Nakshatra

(27).

Things look a little bleak both from the Rasi chart as well as

the SBC analysis, and I would therefore advice you to pray with

intense devotion to Narasimha. Only He can protect your son

against all odds.
