Guest guest
PS Acceptance, as I see it is the concept of making the best of our 'lot' without rancour at bad fortune or glee at good - not the struggle to do better than the next man! I have a problem with the phrase 'Life is a struggle - the fittest wins survival' because if life is a struggle we have already lost. The fittest (in the Darwinian sense) is not the strongest but the most adaptable. This phrase irritates every time I read it. I do have a problem too with the Western belief that 'progress' is associated with wealth and power because sadly much ingenuity and creativity in the last century went into creating better and weapons. In this sense we have learned nothing in the 5 million (yes 5 million) years since man made his first stand on two feet and used his hands to make crude tools! Also, sadly up till now in US no-one has a chance of being President unless they have lots of wealth and power. In fact it seems those that have the qualities to get there are not the ones who have the talents to be honourable leaders. I realise this is no longer a relevant discussion for this list so if you want to continue I suppose we should do it in private. Guest guest
Dear friends, The discussion as above is not irrelevant as it very much concerns astrology and beliefs. Jupiter as Planet for prosperity/wisdom/power represents a jupitarian world. This Jupitarian world is always in focus with the help of Mercury or Mercurian world.[news, newspapers, books, communication, talking, etc] This does not mean that other world [or conciousness] like Saturian, Martian, etc are not existing or are irrelevant to the scheme of universe. Different worlds of conciousness exists. A Yogi [saturian] is so engrossed in his world that he would consider a Jupitarian as fool and irrelvant. In Pakistan, whole nation may be lost in the game of cricket like a passion ;for them nothing like baseball exists. In the progerss of human civiliastion as 5 million years as you point here, all these consiousness exsited combined as well as separate. Every one has survived. Darvinaian concept is correct in its essence but not applicable as you say.
