I am assuming that you have mastered the one planet in a sign/house

situation, the simpler situation, and you are convinced that that

works and are now progressing towards the multiple planets in a sign

situation?

Don't tell me that you cannot tell what jupiter in 3rd house in

scorpio ascendant means, definitively!

Or can you?

If you can, then that would be the first step that a planet in a sign

in a house definitively means something!

Challenge? You bet!

I think three planets in a house is ok.

I do agree that great personalities have more than 4 planets in a house.

If it exceeds 3 - say 4 or 5 or even sometimes more than that - I feel

prediction is more difficult. One cannot confirm something in those cases.

I think some research should be done on this area and should come out with

precise rulings for more than 3 planet combinations.

Probably someone might have already researched in this area - If they could come

out with their findings, it would be of great use to the group.

One other point I'd like to make regarding most people's situations of 3, 4

or even 5 planets in one house...

is....practical experience verifies, that almost all the time, these

'configurations' represent where a person has engaged in activities, in the

past,...that literally lead to that over concentration of those 'qualities'

and as a result they're living out that quality 'now', and as a result

learning the importance of balance...

I know good examples of those with lots of Planets in Aries, Taurus, Gemini,

Cancer, Leo,...Virgo...etc....

and all these people have way too much...

Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer,...Leo...etc...

Take Gemini for example, the people I know who have that 3 or 4 planets,

have such a strong, powerful 'gemini' nature....but all that gemini, gets

them in trouble now today.

In other words, though the good, 'Gemini' habit of being able to juggle

several things at once, is okay.... but many planets in Gemini, means one

tends to attempt to juggle way too many things...and as a result gets way

out of balance,....and over extended...and not enough time is left to go

into the necessary depth, ...of any of those areas...

Another person comes to mind, who having many planets in Cancer, she's a

very lovely and wonderful lady...very giving, and unselfish....

like a Mother...

but....her 'fault' is that she overdoes it, gives too much...

and doesn't give with balance, or not how to give 'enough' to herself...

The details of each person's situation, is very revealing, then, by looking

at the details of the rising sign, and what houses, the planets rule that

are in that 'crowded' house....

Re: Gurmeet ji...<Tanvir>

My little experience indicates that people with more than 4 planets

in a house tend to be capable of intense concentration, unless the

planets are afflicted (general provisions apply) and particularly if

a strong saturn is one of the players.

Your email raised an interesting issue which I will just mention and

bow out of this erudite discussion. When possible, it is interesting

to take a look at the relative's horoscope also. Eventually cases

will emerge where a horoscope has certain + or - influences indicated

for a relative in a chart. The similar + or - influence may or may

not be depicted in the relative's chart during that given period.

Would be educational to study these two cohorts (both charts show

similar effects, or do not) and to study their experiences.

A scenario is forming over time in my mind that some people respond

to their charts better than others. I am sure there will be several

suggestions for combinations that would be forwarded to explain these

two cohorts (responders vs non-responders to the starry theme!) but

nothing that will clinch the diagnosis cold, as yet. The search

continues!

Last 3 years were not so good because I was in the last 3 years of

Rahu mahadasha. Rahu mahadasa gives more problems in the first three

years and the last three years. Jan, Feb 2005 should be interesting

months for me as Jupiter from Virgo will be trining all my seven

Dear Rohiniranjan Ji and Mr. Mark

>>a stronger representation and attunement in the nativity's >>life

Can you provide the details of what does it signify if planets are amassed in

each house. Say if planets are more in leo, what does it signify...similarlly

for other houses too...

Regards

Arvind

In my experience, and this could be very different from yours (for

statistical reasons given very early on by me in my jyotish

writings), kanya lagna/rashi tends to be more of the multi-tasking

kind you attribute to mithuna. Mithuna tend to be very

focussed/concentrated kinds generally and can probably benefit from a

bunch of benefics being there. By the same token, a bunch of malefics

could pose a challenge to the mithuna trying to focus!

Please note that this is not definitive, as we know one factor does

not bring home the cows, as they say.

Your point about more planets in a sign, giving a stronger

representation and attunement in the nativity's life to that sign is

reasonable.

Hello Arvind,

I have 7 planets in one sign, and many famous astrologers made mistakes in

analysing my astrology chart. Then I decided to learn astrology 15 years ago. I

studied astrology with some very famous vedic astrologers in US and India. Now I

make my own predictions. I know which planet is good or bad for me. I would say

my worst planet is sun, it rules 6th house and is posted in 11th house with 6

other planets. I had gone through very difficult time in sun mahadasa. Rahu

period was very good and very bad.

Gurmeet

I think three planets in a house is ok.

I do agree that great personalities have more than 4 planets in a house.

If it exceeds 3 - say 4 or 5 or even sometimes more than that - I feel

prediction is more difficult. One cannot confirm something in those cases.

I think some research should be done on this area and should come out with

precise rulings for more than 3 planet combinations.

Probably someone might have already researched in this area - If they could come

out with their findings, it would be of great use to the group.

is....practical experience verifies, that almost all the time, these

'configurations' represent where a person has engaged in activities, in the

past,...that literally lead to that over concentration of those 'qualities'

and as a result they're living out that quality 'now', and as a result

The search

continues!

not be successful in my birth country. I must leave my birth place to

be successful. They were right, nothing worked for me in india. But

after I moved to US, I got success, money, fulfillment of desires.

Last 3 years were not so good because I was in the last 3 years of

Rohiniranjan ji,

I agree with you, it is all about the 11th house in my case. I am very

materialistic, high ambitions, very bold, and aggressive. I am very successful

after I moved to US 16 years ago. Because of planets in 11th house I have very

impressive personality. The months of December 04 and Jan 05 should be very

interesting in my life as transit jupiter from virgo in my 7th house will aspect

all my seven planets in 11 house. Also I will be in jupiter mahadasha.

Gurmeet

Obviously, this illustrates why certain things must supervene factors

like "I have x number of planets in capricorn!"

The critical factor is not mars, or saturn or even capricorn but 11th

Please email me your birth data. Then I can tell you a lot. It depends in

which house they are located. If they are in good house they will give good

effect. If they are in 6th house they will give bad effect. In my case 7 planets

are in capricorn sign, and the ruling planet is saturn. Saturn matures at the

age of 36. I made more progress in my life after the age 36.

The search

continues!

not be successful in my birth country. I must leave my birth place to

be successful. They were right, nothing worked for me in india. But

after I moved to US, I got success, money, fulfillment of desires.

Last 3 years were not so good because I was in the last 3 years of

Rahu mahadasha. Rahu mahadasa gives more problems in the first three

years and the last three years. Jan, Feb 2005 should be interesting

months for me as Jupiter from Virgo will be trining all my seven

planets in 11th house and I will be Jupiter mahadasha.

Dear Arvind ji,

I have seen your chart, and I have to say the following:

1. Your 7th house lord moon is with 4 other planets in 8th house. This indicates

more than one marriage, or many relationships. Also you seventh house lord moon

is surrounded by Mars rahu, and saturn.

2. 8th house also represents sudden wealth, legacies, inheritance etc. These

planets can give you sudden wealth at some point in your life. I like the

position of jupiter in 8th house but in your case jupiter does not rule good

houses. Also 8th house is 2nd from the 7th house also represents spouse's

wealth. You may get wealth through your spouse also.

3. Mars in 8th house is not good for matrimonial happiness. Saturn and Mars in

8th house can cause accidents. Mars is debilitated in Navamsa kundli, so mars

mahadasa can give some problems.

4. Approximately after 2.5 years saturn will transit your leo planets in 8th

house. You can expect some important events in your life at that time. Saturn' s

transit over natal planets is not a good time. But in your case saturn rules

your lagna, so it can bring some important events when saturn transits leo sign.
