Guest guest
Respected Gurujis and Members, I have read a quote Pujya Gurudev, Swami Chinmayananda on the subject that I would like to share with you all. "Whatever you meet in life is prarabhta, destiny. How you meet it is purusharta, free will." A fascinating statement to ponder over. Kaimal - V.Partha sarathy Friday, October 15, 2004 9:25 AM [playing cards and free will. Dear Gili To an extent yes. I would put it this way, you have a choice to do whatever you want do. But your past actions(Including many a past lives) are always forbearing on the "DECISION" that you would take. Remember, You are always free to choose whatever you do. But the past actions catch up with you, most of the people just cannot avoid them, and hence repeat the same actions and subsequent reactions. This means playing the same way again and again, till we "Learn" the "WAY out of the matrix". best wishes partha

Guest guest
Dear Savitarcyber, But of course! Fatalism is an illusion that so called rationalists who fear what lies beyond death, use as a defense against being consumed by a reality that they see, or actually one that they fear -- namely the possibility of fatalism actually working in the long run!
