Guest guest
Namashkar Balaji, At the risk of being considered narcissistic for trying to post a reply to my own message (once bitten twice shy, they say ;-) I wish to clarify a bit so that the thought I wished to convey earlier does not get twisted or misinterpreted. What I intended to convey was that even if a casual, informal poll is taken and all 40 (or whatever miniscule proportion that could be expected to be capable of using vimshopaka)were to respond (more realistically probably 6-8 would respond or even fewer, going by past experience of such polls, here and elsewhere). Such surveys and opinions should not be taken seriously as representing the actual situation or matter that one is polling about. And this does not apply to just vimshopak but even more basic issues with jyotish, bhava, chalita, combustion, ayanamsha, kalsarp yoga, mangal dosh, jaimini astrology, remedies ... you name it, it is up for debate somewhere. Sometimes it seems that jyotish was born out of Ravana! Ten heads, ten opinions ;-) RR , "rohiniranjan" <rrgb@s...> wrote: > > I find both of them very useful, vimshopak as well as internet, when > applied properly. > > I am not aware of any poll that has been conducted as to how many > jyotishis, on internet or elsewhere, use vimshopak.
