Your nephew's lagna is Kataka, but it is at 0 degrees, 56

minutes. I don't know if the time is really accurate. Maybe, you

could get some rectification done by a more experienced

astrologer.

 

He has three Neecha Grahas - Surya, Sukra, and Guru.

Fortunately, all of them are in a Kendra from Chandra/Lagna, and

so get Neecha Banga, or even Neecha Banga Raja Yoga if some

sources are to be believed. However, irrespective of if the

Grahas get NB or NBRY, one thing remains - there will be some

difficulty in the Dasa/Bukti of the concerned grahas. NB or even

NBRY cannot nullify it completely.

 

Your nephew is running Budha Dasa [Dec 2000 - Apr 2015] and

Sukra Bukti [May 2004 - Mar 2007]. Budha rules 3&12, and 4&7

from Chandra Lagna, and so it is not going to be favourable

either way. Sukra, the lord of 4&11 (3&8 from Chandra Lagna), is

also not going to be very nice, though, of course, Sukra being

with Kuja the Raja Yoga Karaka for Kataka Lagna, will do some

good. The biggest problem in your nephew's chart is Surya

because, not only is he fallen, but his dispositor, Sukra, is

also in bad shape. Since Surya and Ketu affect Budha Dasa, there

will be bad problems, especially since Surya rules the 2nd house

of education. The 2nd is also aspected by Sani, and this could

cause slowness. As long as Budha Dasa runs, Neecha Surya will

impact it, and he will be disposited by Neecha Sukra. This means

that, NB or NBRY apart, problems will persist.

 

You also need to understand your nephew's age - he is still in

his teens, and some allowance needs to be made for this. I have

also heard that people with Neecha Guru do not listen to the

advice of their elders (true in my case!). Also, since Guru

rules the 9th from Lagna and the 1st from Chandra Lagna, this

could be having a negative impact.

 

Gochara wise, Guru (7) is good, but Sani (5), Rahu (2) and Ketu

(8) are all adverse.

 

Overall, since the lord of the 10th aspects the 10th, you do not

need to be very perturbed about his career, though the

positioning of Rahu in the 10th implies that he will not always

choose the straight and narrow road to prosperity, a thought

reinforced by the presence of the Chandra Mangala Yoga.

 

I think that, astrology apart, one should try to adopt a loving

attitude towards the boy, and be patient. Sometimes, parents

tend to blow things out of proportion. Personally speaking, all

my relatives were aghast when I flunked my 12th, and screamed

"One WHOLE year wasted!" Well, all I have to say is this - even

if I die by the age of 50, 1 year represents merely 2% of my

life! I never studied beyond my 12th, but I still managed to

write a book on Holmes, and have a decent career. Give your

nephew time to grow at his pace, not at the pace at which his

parents want him to grow. We all need to go through our bad

phases before we achieve anything. An understanding, patient

attitude will help more than anything else in the world.

The nice thing here is that Rahu and Ketu are not subjecting him

to much tormentation. However, his Tithi is afflicted by Surya,

though there is some protection from Budha. Guru protects the

day of birth from Kuja's malevolence, though Rahu affects name

without any benefic influence. The Lagna is affected by Surya,

Sani and Rahu, and Budha and Sukra can only protect it so much.

 

Among critical stars, Janma Nakshtra (1) is affected by Kuja,

though Guru's glance will ensure good protection. Sukra's aspect

on the Karma Nakshtra (10) will ensure some work-related (in

this case, education) progress. The Sanghtaic Nakshtra (16) is

affected by Surya and Budha, and this also applies to the

Abhishek Nakshatra (27), and this means that he will get so-so

cooperation and enjoyment. However, final success will elude him

as long as Ketu occupies Raj Nakshtra (26). I would advice his

parents to be kind, and also to pray to God to ensure that their

son prospers.
