I have seen some charts where mars in 8th house gave violent death. I have seen some women's charts with rahu in 8th house, and they were raped in rahu mahadasa. Jupiter in 8th house can give sudden wealth and inheritance. Someone may have rahu in 8th house but may never see its evil effect if they will never see rahu mahadasa in their life time. I have gone through rahu mahadasa, and in my case Rahu is in 8th house from natal moon and 5th house from ascendent. Rahu will give you bad results in 8th house but you have to go through rahu mahadasha to feel those evil effects. A lot depends on if rahu in 8th house is aspects by malefics or benefics for that lagna. The planets / some of them with good strength would show success and esp. fame if 9th lord or 10th lord etc. are involved. It deals with strength and aspects and some core techniques I use. One thing I am trying to imply from the very beginning, that I admit that planets in 8th can be sometimes good, I have agreed with and did "more" than agreeing, ie telling by myself and even giving examples.
