Guest guest
Yes, exactly! I too am eager to know the source because, unlike hrim klim or whatever other beejakshara used, whether it is Beeja, keelaka, kavacha, Shakti or Astra, "KUM" seems to have different meaning. Interested persons can just refer to RUDRA-YAMALA TANTRA and connected texts. humbly, yours KAD , "Prtha (Priitaa) devi dasi" <priitaa> wrote: > > Sorry for my delayed reply. Guest guest
All Glories to sri guru and gauranga. Dear Pritha deedee, you said: > I am one who tends to like scriptural proof. > Do you know where this quote or idea came from? Thanks. I read Swami Maharaja's books (your Srila BVS Prabhupada), although I am not a member of the Iskcon institution. I am a simple devotee of the Gaudya Math, located in Jagannath Puri, hence a westerner. I like it that you seek proof, also Swami Maharaja in his books said one should not blindly believe and follow, as this is in tama gun. One should always follow guru, sadhu and shastra. Below I have the shastric proof you asked for, from a site of your institution, Iskcon, you obviously belong to. http://www.salagram.net/jtcd-samskaras.html 'Recitation of Srila Jayadev Goswami's, or Sripad Vadiraj Tirtha's, or Swami Desikan's Dashavatara stotram (prayers in glorification of the 10 primary incarnations) safeguards one from all evil effects of navagrahas. Matsya avataram rules over Ketu, while Kurma avataram confers protection against the effects of Shani (Saturn), Varaha grants succour from the effects of Rahu, Narasimha from Mars, Vamana from Brihaspati (Jupiter), Bhargava Rama (Parasuram) from Shukran (Venus), Dasharatha Rama from the Sun, Krishna from the Moon, Balarama from Gulikan, and Kalki from Budhan (Mercury) - again a wonderful demonstration of the compassion of Our Paramacharyan (gurus) for their followers.' Please allow me to ask you some questions. The authority of iskcon, you seem to belong to, preaches officially that your institution is the only proper Vaishnav line in the world, that the only real and true gurus can only be found in iskcon, not outside of this institution. All other gurus, from other vaishnava lines, as the gaudya math, and other lines (as there are four sampradayas) are bogus, frauds. Did you ever seek shastrical proof for this statement, or proof that the Iskcon authorities (GBC) are proper spiritual authorities? I ask you, because I highly respect Swami Maharaja, your Srila Prabhupada, because he was a sadhu. I never in his books read claims, as that only Iskcon devotees are real devotees, and only Iskcon gurus can bring you back to the spiritual abode, all others are frauds. Maybe you can clear my doubts?! Kind regards, Shad hare krishna! om namah sivay! , "Prtha (Priitaa) devi dasi" <priitaa> wrote: > > Sorry for my delayed reply.
