Guest guest
Dear all, I see some members have been cross posting here from other lists for a while. I just wanted to gently remind that this practice is not appreciated. There are very good lists out there. You can give their referrences whenever needed. Or if you find a useful or good post in any of them, you are welcome to share it with us. However, do not keep cross posting without a good reason - this would not be welcome anymore. I personally kept the Subject ID of this forum very short so that the main subject can be read easily. A long forum ID in the subject gives a problem to read the main subject / thread, esp for people use Outlook, Outlook Express etc., since there is a limited space to view the subject line. Also, when a post has more than one forum ID in the subject like such as "Re: Re: [sJC: Achyuta Gurukul]..." then it becomes very confusing to understand which forum does the message belong to. That is why I suggest not to cross post from other lists and if this is necessary, remove the forum ID from the subject to avoid any confusion. Thanks, Tanvir. What can not happen, can never happen. Which is mine, is forever mine. Guest guest
I think it is basically good etiquette to also acknowledge in the body of post, if anything is quoted from someone else's postings or writings elsewhere. Over time, I have witnessed (and not just here) people posting snippets or even paras of material not written by them originally and posted here without acknowledging the original source. This is unacceptable. Rohiniranjan , "Tanvir" <ultimate@s...> wrote: > Dear all, > > I see some members have been cross posting here from other lists for a while.
