Very apt point sir. Many do as they wish, and finally, of course, when things go wrong, there are always the Nava Grahas to blame! Looks like "Blame it on Sani" is the game that most people love to play! > Message: 18 > Mon, 20 Sep 2004 00:53:23 -0000 > "rohiniranjan" <rrgb > Why do you keep coming back to Jyotish? > Why do you keep coming back to Jyotish? This is a question I have been asking myself for a while. Why? Why? Why? I do it because of my own recently dark past, when I had no idea why I had to spend a long time without a job. I started with my own chart, and later on "graduated" to reading other people's charts. I wish I had more time to do a really indepth study, but professional demands are usually pressing. End of the day, I think it is because of my desire to help people if possible. > where would you be then, as a jyotish > student/practitioner/afficianodo at that time? So hard to see the future! Three years ago I had no idea that I would even be studying Jyotish! Rohini ji, could you answer some of your own questions based on your personal experience? It might help me and others too. You have close to 4 decades of experience. What were your thoughts initially? And then, say, 5 years later? What were your goals, and how much have you fulfilled them? I'm reading BV Raman's book on his experiences in Astrology. Nice auto-biographical piece! Shows the struggles and the convictions, and the experiments. I particularly liked his points where he talks of the limitations of logic, the necessity to possess a maha mantra, etc. He writes so well, you can almost see his lfe unfolding in front of you! He has also discussed some of his experiences, and how he made mistakes, which his grandfather rectified. Clearly, as he says, a deeper study can unravel mysteries. Alas, it only comes with decades of experience! But, then again, we must keep trying, trying, trying... ===== Balaji Narasimhan * http://www.sherlock-holmes.com/balaji.htm Author, Sherlock Holmes: Solutions from the Sussex Downs Editor, The Partial Art of Detection =====
