Guest guest
Hello Gaurav: Thank you somuch for posting such an informative material on Lord Ganesh. May Lord Ganesh bless you. I was reading the various descriptions/definitions and I noted that I recall ANOTHER description of "Ucchista Ganesha." Your description is correct; however, I'd like to add an additonal description. Ucchita Ganesh is Ganesh making love to his wives. His wives are sitting one each on each thigh of Ganesh. This Ganesh is Blue in color. Ganesh's trunk is touching the breast of the wife sitting on his left thigh. Ucchista Ganesh is also depicted with just ONE wife on his left thigh. Now, don't ask me for a quote from the classics. I wrote down what I just know through the folklore. I was born in a Gujarati Brahmin family and grew up around Marathi Brahmins who are one of the most ritualistic and deeply Vedic people in India and a lot of knowledge/folklore is verbally passed down the generations and there is NO written evidence of such knowledge. Such ancesteral Vedic knowledege is seen most prevalent amongst South Indians (Tamil, Kannada and Orriya speakers) where the Middle-Eastern Invader didn't get to. Ya, Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan did make it to Southern India, but were to busy fighting the British or they would have continued the Genocide their associates had already committed in Norhtern India. May GANESH BLESS THE BRITISH who helped end the Indian Genocide by the Middle-Eastern Invaders and who preseved the Hindu/Sikh/Buddisht religions and cultures that were left over after the Genocide. And, may GANESH BLESS ADI SANKARA who revived Hinduism.
