Guest guest
Some compiled material from the web.... A retrograde planet is one that appears to be moving backward in the heavens from the viewpoint of earth, but this is apparent motion only and not actual. Because the spoken word is associated with Mercury energy, some of our communications can become confused or entangled for about a three week period three times a year, leading to potential misunderstands with others. When Mercury moves forward in motion again, these misunderstands tend to clear up. By tracking when Mercury is retrograde, you'll know when to be more flexible in planning your daily schedule, especially if you live a very busy life. Avoid overbooking, be patient with those who change their minds unexpectedly, watch for "no-shows," allow extra time to meet deadlines, and realize that you may be better off not making long-term commitments, so you can avoid obligating yourself under less than desirable contractual circumstances. Mercury retro is also an excellent time to make sure your legal documents are in order. Do you know where your birth certificate is? How about the legal papers on your car? etc., etc. If travelling during this period, double- check reservations to be extra sure. Astrology is also about recurring cycles that aid or hinder at different times. Mercury retrograde is one such cycle that recurs three times each year. Since the planet Mercury is related to all forms of communication, written and oral, this is not the time to sign important documents, legal agreements, or to initiate something new. Mercury Retrograde Periods 2003-2004: 1/2 - 2/3/03 4/26 - 5/20/03 8/28 - 9/20/03 12/17/03-1/6/04 4/13 - 4/30/04 8/10 - 9/2/04 11/30 - 12/20/04 --Manoshi
Guest guest
and do we have more than a few instances during those or similar periods in past (to start simply, say over a period of years each time when mercury went retrograde in an enemy's sign for instance) where things happened the way they are stated to? The next stage should be 'observation' and then we relook at the hypothesis! Too much work, I know, but without that what do the principles really stand for? Guest guest
Dear Manoshi Chatterjee Yes, it is true, Mercury whenever it is retrograde - is responsible for misunderstandings and a lot of ill feelings amongst the people in general. But this time he was also Combust and during some part of the transit he was Deep combust. Don't you think this has lessened the ill effects? I will be interested in views on this transit by all fellow members. May Vighneharta Lord Ganesh Ji remove all obstacles from your path. Guest guest
Dear Manoshi, Just because you have publicly given me the respect that an uncle can dream for deservedly or not (and nephews and nieces have been very important 'children' for me in this earthly existence) -- please take this in the right spirit: One swallow does not make summmer! One swallow makes us look some more -- I do hope you look ... , "Manoshi Chatterjee" <khallopapa> wrote: > One incident I can surely tell...we are going thru on the group ;-) > > --Manoshi > > , "rohiniranjan" <rrgb@s...> > wrote: > > and do we have more than a few instances during those or similar > > periods in past (to start simply, say over a period of years each > > time when mercury went retrograde in an enemy's sign for instance) > > where things happened the way they are stated to? > > > > The next stage should be 'observation' and then we relook at the > > hypothesis! Guest guest
Dear fellow-member, How do we define misunderstandings, the word being bandied around here (then we will get to words like 'fights', "arguments", etc etc perhaps nonexistant!): when party A misunderstands the intent and meaning of party B? When party A and B mutually misunderstand the real exchange that is happening between the two? OR when party C (bystanders!) try to help A and B the source of their misunderstanding: D: through some understanding of the two parties, separately OR E: without understanding the misunderstanding or the issue?
