"GOCHAR VEDHAI

 

The planets starting from Surya to Ketu moves clockwise from Mesha to

Meena. The Rasi house in which the moon is placed in natal chart is

considered as Chandra Lagna. The jyotish texts describe various good

and bad results given by the planets when they transit in each of the

twelve houses from the natal moon. Individual planets have respective

vedhai (enemy) house corresponding to each transit house. If in the

vedhai house, any other planet is there, the transit (gochar) results

of the respective planet will be hampered.

 

For example,

Normally good results are expected when Jupiter transits (moves) to

9th house from natal moon. Take for example one's lagna as simha and

when Jupiter transits mesha, it is expected to give good benefits.

But as per the table, for Jupiter the vedhai house for 9th house

transit is 10 i.e., Rishabh. If any planet is there in rishabh, then

the Jupiter will not give the results.

 

For the same person, Saturn when transits at 8th house (Meena), it

should give ashubh results. But as per the table, for 8th house

Saturn, the vedhai is 7th house (kumbha). If any planet is there,

Saturn will not give bad results.

 

One should consider vedhai house for all planets before coming to

conclusion regarding transit results.
