Guest guest
Dear Sreelatha: Glad to hear you liked my last posting... Actually, I was drawn to meditation, not for any real 'intellectual' reasons, but because my Moon and/or happiness was so lacking. I was terribly lacking something, and meditation, is a tremendous bridge to find the self of the universe. Personally, I've been practicing tm, or transcendental meditation, and tm, is actually based on what the Maharishi calls the natural charm of life, to be attracted to that ... which is more and more... And as the Mind is taught, in tm, how to turn the attention to an inward direction, the very nature of the mind being naturally more full, of happiness and bliss, ..... innocently draws the mind in.... I was lead to meditation because of my 'hurting' Moon, in my chart.... I stayed....because....of all the great Philosophical reasons that I learned later. My Jupiter's in Pisces, in my 6th house, and Philosophy and Knowledge are easy and fascinating to me. Even now, after all these years, what's the most fascinating, is discovering Jyotish, and learning how to add, Jyotish/Astrology....to the power and benefits of meditation. For those who haven't learned to meditate, meditate is a great thing. For the many that I've met who meditate, but do not know their Jyotish charts very well, Jyotish is an indispensible.... Vedic...yagua, or advanced technique... and supplements meditation and the development of consciousness, very well...! Nice talking to you..... Sincerely, Mark Kincaid "Venkatarama Sreelatha" <venkatarama_sastry Tue, 10 Aug 2004 19:49:25 -0000 2- Sreelatha & Gaurav & All:, > Mark Kincaid, 8/10.....Re: strength of meditation.... Dear Mark, What a wonderful posting! Your experiences in meditation are very interesting. Mine are a little different from yours. With my Cancer rising, emotions are more natural to me than with your cerebral Libra. I tried classical meditation, by stemming the tide of thoughts ... but the key to finding success had to come from my innate nature, it had to come from feelings. I found that devotion lead me to meditation and concentration, while you found that devotion and concentrationare byproducts of meditation. Very interesting, and very natural given our astrological indications. With my Moon just a step ahead of the Sun just like you, this is an evolving skill. BTW, your jyotish newsletter is excellent, it's pretty much the first thing I read everday! -Sreelatha , Mark Kincaid <m.kincaid@m...> wrote: > Dear Sreelatha & Gaurav & All: > > I've been following your conversations regarding meditation.
