Guest guest
Sri RR ji, Undersigned is forever grateful to you for understanding the heart of Rahu centric HP theory. To put it in right perspective, there will have to be another beginning to the whole affair of Rahu.(Not only Lunar but Mars, Saturn and Jupiter nodes also) Self will post broad outline and reasoning behind this theory by today evening. It will clear a lot of cobwebs from the scene and the picture will become clearer. It is not a promise but a lot of learning will take place and the most difficult part is,A lot of UNLEARNING WILL HAVE TO TAKE PLACE in course of time. So far Astrological theory placed faith in Moving things called Planets. Time has come to take a look at non moving, fixed things which matter along with moving things. It is beautiful to see that we are discussing something that most of us know nothing about but are willing to open to and listen and question and this is what querying and learning is all about, where not much is known or proven with data and facts (bravado does not count). When the Wind of awakening stirs, the air (airs?) would obviously turn cloudy and it would cause irritation and suffocation and most importantly would stir the Spirit, that modern jyotishis do need from time to time, because none of the techniques so far revealed over the last hundreds of years have honestly provided the answer, the full or final answer whether it be this family secret (claimed but not revealed or tested), or this paddhati or that technique or system, etc! Astro-consumers are afterall not idiots and if they have not bought what has come forth in the last hundred years, let us say, through booklets of *wisdom* or pithy texts few hundreds of pages long, old or new, then the message is really clear, folks! We need to continue to seek and no intelligent query must be ignored, and also no new approach. The Forest of astrological 'wisdom', uncared for for many many years has all the answers, sure, but we must forge the paths to those through the uncharted or forgotten terrain, ourselves! Hemantjee has reminded us of the very important principle that gave birth to the karakamsha consideration and of looking to houses from a natural karaka (need I remind mainstream jyotishis on this forum of that classical approach?). So other than that, here is my simple question to all members: I am looking for individuals who have experienced the conjoint vimshottary dashas of the nodes. RAHU-Ketu and KETU-rahu (DASHA- bhukti). Guest guest
Dear Mr. Trivedi: (now that people know who you are, I don't need to continue to address you as tatvam...) You mention in one of your notes that Rahu is like Shani; therefore, the 10th house aspect. Some classics also say that Rahu is like Shani and Ketu is like Mars.-- I have difficulty swallowing this "Rahu is like Shani" dictum. In fact, Rahu is a totally different animal than Shani. Shani is mean, heartless, cold, ruthless and a giver of great greif in most of the charts I've seen. Even in charts where Shani was in own rashis, it gave the individual success after a long struggle in the Shani mahadasa. Even in charts where Shani was exhalted, the natives didn't have great gains unless it was located in Lagna as well. In short Shani is a bad, bad, guy. Now, Rahu on the other hand (in my experience) is like a naughly teenager playing pranks on the natives. Sometimes he picks up a petty theif and turns him into a world-wide Mafia. Somtimes he picks up a cloth salesman in India and turns him into Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance conglomerate. Sometimes it kills the native in violent accidents. Sometimes it makes a prince into a pauper. Sometimes it makes the native unleash unimaginable cruelty on his enemies--Saddam Hussien (Rahu in 6th cojoined with Mars), Adolf Hitler (Rahu aspected by exhalted Mars). Rahu is a planet that stands for suddeness and extremes. -- It is in no way, shape, or form like Shani is who during its period, irrespective of functional nature, makes the native go through great struggle and at the end of the struggle throws a little "consolation prize" at the native for trying.--there is no suddeness or extremes experienced by the native in Shani mahadasa. How can you say Rahu is like Shani?
