Guest guest
Dear All, Namaste. This may be a basic question. Often remedies are performed to mitigate the adverse influences of planets in their Dasas/bhukits/Gochara. But the effects/results of remedies are not always clear-cut - which leads to a few queries. 1. How can one really know whether the remedy/ies was/were really efffective? 2. Even if it was effective, where will the effect be felt? To illustrate, let me take my own case - just as an example. a. Saturn is in the 7th from the natal moon (Khanta Sani) and is moving into 8th (Ashtama Sani) - both considered to be bad. b. Saturn moving into the 8th is into the 10th from the Lagna. After moving into the 8th, Saturn will aspect the following houses: i) 10th house from moon (12th house from Lagna) - 3rd aspect ii) 1st house from moon (3rd house from Lagna) - 7th aspect iii) 5h house from moon (7th house from Lagna) - 10th aspect How does one judge the effect of Saturn? a. I presume one has to take into account whether Saturn is a functional benefic or a malefic in this judgement. In my case is a functional benefic being the lord of 4th/5th and is in own house forming Sasa Yoga. To further confirm this point, I never had any serious problem during the much dreaded sade-sathi - in fact most of my career rise was during that period and I came abroad. The only bad effect I had was a minor leg fracture when the sade sathi started. b. Which of the effects are more likely to be felt? a. The house where it stays and its signficance (in my case 10th - profession, karma) b. The houses it aspects (as given above) and their significance with respect to Lagna/Moon. When one does remedies : a. Will the effect, assuming effective, be felt overall? b. If the effect be felt only in one or some areas (say profession) then is it necessary to do different remedies simultaneously for different effects? 3. Lastly, this is largely a theoretical question. Let us assume that one does a remedy and gets a good result which is not attributable to the dasa and gochara. How can one understand this during the analysis of the chart at a much later date? (The natural instinct will be to suspect the correctness of the chart). Or is it OK to assume that remedies, at the best, can only mitigate the ill effects to some extent, and will not, in any way, give good results which otherwise is NOT indicated in the dasa/sub-dasa? Sorry if my questions are very basic in nature. Thanks & Regards, Murali
