Well the married life is not a bed of roses though. The person is doing very well careerwise, has children, very good natured with no bad habits, very dutiful, earning quite well. He got his educational degree in ketudasa, got married in ketu dasa, got his child in ketu dasa.... So what's really the effect of kaal sarpa yoga then? Problems in married life? That's it? And when do the problems really occur? Only 8th through 10th are less contiguously. Lagna SAV points of this gentleman is 24. He has an adjustive nature with a very good social standing. Might have lived away from father. He got married in 1994 january..had a love marriage(as they say in India). Did not do very well in studies in school but picked up later, did his masters. As soon as venus dasa started there was a sudden change in his career ( venus is exalted in his chart in 9th and is exalted in 10th in D-10) Is a very good person...and true, very good social standing. He has never left his country to go abroad but is there any possibility? I looked up the case you mentioned, and the danger here is in the form of diseases. Basically the effect will be in the area represented by the houses that Ra and Ke occupy. Since this is 6 and 12 in this case, the effects are in the areas of diseases, enemies, litigation, internal enemies(like Kaam, Krodh, Lobha etc.), all indications of the 6th and losses, expenditure, death etc that are indications of the 12th. Some people on this forum have already mentioned this, but let me reiterate - forming conclusions based on just one yoga will NOT give you the full picture. As an illustration, yes, there is Kala sarpa, but look at the powerful 9th in this chart! Three benefics, all in the 9th which is the best house of all, and all in the most benefic house of Jupiter!! So much good fortune promised. And even the disease I mentioned above is not really prominent in the divisional chart, so that may not even come to pass. In addition to the kala sarpa, this person also has so many auspicious yogas like Chandra Guru Sukra yoga, Vipareeta Raaja Yoga, Uttamaadi yoga etc. Plus Sa in his own house in 8th gives longevity, and in general malefics in 8th give enormous vitality, and he has THREE... I could go on, but you get my gist. :-) Sometimes people see one bad combination in their charts and then fixate on that, and fret too much about that one aspect. Rahu is samdharmi to Mercury and mercury has max points for 7th house and is lord of primary upcahya from 7th. I have rectified the birth time by 4 mins. I still dont know the exact date of marriage but it is in the ball park. I generally check D charts only to confirm status of planet but before that I try to make sure of the degree of langa and planets. I do not know what ayanamsa you use so its better if one writes the dates. I use Krushnas ayanamsa which is about 1 deg and few seconds less than lahiri. Some basic observation. 1) 12th lord is in 8th from its own house with 5 binuds. 2) Venus is in primary upchaya from own house i.e. in 6th from 4th house and in unccha rashi. 3) 2nd lord Sun is samdharmi to Shani, Mars and moon. 4) 6th lord afflicting moon, venus and in navamsa guru is samdharmi to Shani (placed in aquarius). 5) 11th lord in 11th from itself in unccha rasi so again quality is enhanced of Venus and its neutral with 4 bindus. 6) sun to venus distance is 39.82 and venus is in nakshatra of shani so venus is not spoilt. 7) In venus mahadasha results will be related to 4th and 9th house and 2nd and 12th. 8) With Krushnas ayanamsa I am getting value of Venus in Dasamsa to be 11 i.e. Sum total of bindus in Venus BAV for (10th, 5th and 2nd). If rectify the time by adding 1 more mintue I get value of 14. So I would need more data to to pin down the exact time. Here I print the Ashtakvarg strength of planet. In Rahu antra (which is SD to mercury) is a good possibilty for immigration if the native has applied. Rahu is in 10th house (primary upchaya) from 3rd house. So its eager to give results in his antra. Also if you see the points for mercury, points of 12th are more than 11th so the native will have more expenses in this current antra. For mercury it has more than 12 points for mostly all the houses except for 1st, 8th and 9th. As to answer to your question, you have asked with kal sarp yog why does this person have a nice life.... Check out his points for mostly all houses. Its more than 12. You have said in Venus/Venus he had a career change. Even if we change the ayanamsa between lahiri/krushna/raman the antra still might fall in venus antra... and Venus has less than 12 points for 10th house. At the same ttime its showing good points for 6th and 11th house. It is primary upchaya for 6th house (6th from 6th) and also primary upchaya for 11th house (6th from 11th). Moreover Ketu is in constellation of Venus & Venus is exalted therefore there were no evil effects of Ketu & got the very good results in the mahadasha of Ketu. Now he is going through the Venus mahadasha since 1998, so I see no problem whatsoever in his life except marriage life as you can see for Cancer ascendant the lord of 7th house is Saturn which is situated in 8th with enemies Sun & Mars. Actually the bad effects of Kal-Sarpa yoga occurs when Rahu & Ketu are placed in enemical sign, getting aspected from malefics and got the mahadasha/antardasha of Rahu & Ketu.
