What a truly wonderful discussion we've had,

there are many pearls of wisdom hiding behind many of what got wrote.

The big feature was All the Big Guns fired.. RR, Tanvir, Inder, Gaurav, Surya,

Balaji & Didi.

Manoshi ofcourse revels in bringing out such great topics. "Special Thanks

Manoshi".

WE NEED YOU, else the kind of participation we have with 1700+

people is a bit under-leveraged !! ( yah, understatement, just ask RR)

Oh Yes,.. we 'Really' Missed inputs from Tatvam-Asi, Yves, SriGanesh, G Kumar,

Sanjeev Bhaiya & Balaji.

wish we had more from the sobering Gaurav & Didi. RR of course is a classic, and

i spend 2 nights

reading the post several times.

Reproduced below are some Gems we can reflect on time & again, ( kind of a

over-lap with the Shukra appeasment thread, but worth reproducing)

* Devotion must come from faith and not a more transient wishful thinking. (

RR )

* Faith, in my mind, comes with a healthy dose of humility. Rest assured that

there is a higher power that knows

what you need and when you need it, better than yourself, and that higher power

WILL make that happen at the right time.

This does not in any way excuse YOU from making the effort, though! You are

responsible for the effort, and That which is beyond you is reponsible for the

result. (Didi)

* Karma comes first, God comes next. (Inder)

* My personal belief is that destiny is not a track cut in granite of time

through which human lives MUST flow with the slope determined by karma (worse

the karma, steeper the slope of fall). There are also footholds of dharma,

grace, remedies available and some of these are not fixed in the river bed

either because some of these are branches that we

can > cling to before we enter the mouth of the waterfall (a seriously

predestined karmic situation).

* Life is not about slow metamorphosis, but also about Action -- ACTION &

FREEDOM to Choose,

which is not arrogance but the realization that when God made us, His Divine

hands touched ours and perhaps

the touch left on ours a divine responsibility, to exercise our divine

birthright, of choosing and acting. (RR)

* We do not do remedies from our own. But, the divinity makes us do these.

The truth is CONSTANT and will be same to everyone ( Tavir )

* To me there are two main factors, first is knowledge and second being

experience.

Experience comes into picture when we follow a remedy and there is a good(or

bad) effect. The bad

effect experience informs that there is something wrong(maybe the prouncation or

maybe the proper method). (Gaurav)

There was one other sentence which Didi wrote on FreeWill which is simply

superb, but i dont know where i put it. :-(

My sincere respects to all.

thank you,

Manju
