Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Fasting is suggested as one of the remedies if there are any issues with a planet. The group is welcome to share the experiences of doing fasting and its effects. Furthermore, upto what extent you should call fasting as real fasting(some people prefer to have only water for the entire day and some milk based products for one time). Members can share their experience of fasting on various days of the week with reference to the time of breaking the fast. Also most importantly the results of the fasting observed by anyone in a period of time. Gaurav
Guest guest
~ Om Namah Shivaya ~ Dear Gaurav, Fasting as a remedy is that our body is undergoing suffering (a punishment) by not eating the meals during the day. It is generally recommended to keep fast of UL day for marital / relationship problem. After knowing this, I started fasting on fridays. The results I got are positive so far. I am keeping fasts for approximately 8 - 9 months or so. My problems in relationship were almost resolved. Way of fasting - Normally in morning after taking a bath, I do my prayers, have a bananana and glass of milk. Then during the day 3-4 pm, I will have some fruit (not citrus ones) or little curd. After sunset, I will do prayers for Shri Mahalakshmi, offer prasadam, lite a lamp and then will have my dinner. Then until next morning prayers are done, I won't eat anything. And during the day try be as saatwic as possible. In short I can just say fasting is very very good for me and I advise to keep fast on UL days to everyone, who has some marital / relationship problems. Guest guest
Dear Neeraj, Thanks for letting us know your experience. The other members of the group can also share their experiences. The members can share the way they fast and how do they break them. Also if any member has done fasting and had only water in that day, they are most welcome to share the benefits of such a fast. The benefits of fasting are really enormous. There is an old tale also which is based on fasting on Tuesdays. Here is an insight about it An old woman used to observe fast on every Tuesday. Her son was named Mangaliya. Mangal deity in disguise of a Brahmin came and asked her "I am hungry. I shall prepare my own food but you plaster the ground with cow-dung." The woman said, "Today is a Tuesday; I do not plaster cow-dung on this day. I shall sprinkle water and you can prepare food." The Brahmin said, "I shall only cook on a cow-dung plastered surface." The woman refused and said that she could do anything else except cow-dung plaster." The Brahmin said, "Let your son lie upside down, I shall cook on his back." After some thought, the woman agreed to this and called her son. The disguised Brahmin lit the furnace on his back and cooked food. After cooking, the Brahmin asked the woman to call her son so that he could take the auspicious food. The woman, in grief, said why he cut jokes and that after your cooking on his back, he would have died. The Brahmin explained and insisted her to call the son. When insisted the woman called, and the son came running. The Brahmin said, "Old woman, your fast is successful. With kindness, your mind is also full of devotion and faith. May you be ever happy." The deity (Mangal) in disguise disappeared.
