Guest guest
Hello Friend, Mantra shashtra is a very deep and a bit complicated science which is beyond the scope of this discussion. If it has to be simplified ,it can be said , OM or AUM is the most important Bija Mantra a genreal sound prevading in this and all the other universes. All other sounds of the alphabet are are particular sounds. All of them have evolved out of Shabda Brahman OM or AUM. OM denotes Brahman and other letters denote Devas and Devis. Beeja Mantra is a Mantra of a single letter such as Kam, Tam which is along with chandra Bindu. There are other eeja Mantras like, Krim, Hrim, Shrim , Hum, Phat etc. To uninitiated, these may not have any meaning but thery are all loaded with subtle power of Devatas or Devis associated with each Beeja Mantra. They all produce a creative Dvani. Each Devata or Devi has his or her own Beeja Mantra. Thus, Devata or Kri is Kali, Hrim is Maya, Ram (Ra with Bindu) is Surya etc. Please read the following sloka. Shrunu Devi pravakshyami Bija Nama Deva rupatam, Mantrochharmatrena Deva Rupam Prajaayate. All Bijas, thus have a deep meaning. Bijas of Pancha Mahabhuta are Ha, Ya, Ra, La and Va with a chandra bindu. This can go on. So please follow after your Guru and learn the Mantra good for you rather than do all you read on net.
