Dear Friends,

What is the meaning of the words in any mantra ?

words like Hreem, Preem etc.

simple ones like Om Namah Shivaya are kind of understandable.

but what do mantras which have words like i mentioned above mean?

Please clarify

Dear M,

While OM deals with the Attributeless Brahman of Vedanta, Hreem is

Shakthaite, dealing with his Shakti

In the Devi Bhagavatam, the Mother Divine says " In the mirror of Hreem, it

is I who is reflected " ( Hrillekha Darpane Nithyam Aham Thu

Prathibimbitha )

Hreem is equal to Om. Hreem is the base of Shaktaite Tantra.

Hreem is considered to be the leader of all mantras. ( Hrillekha Sarva

Mantranam Nayika Paramasmritha )
