Respected Atrologers,

There appears to be diffrence of opinion in the community regarding

the cases where Kuja Dosha is nullified. For example, when Mars is in

its own sign (Mesha, Vrischika), some say the dosha is completely

nullified.

For example, in my horoscope:

Lagna is in Mesha (Mars is the Lord)

Mars is in 8th house, Vrischika (again Mars is the Lord)

So can I consider the dosha to be completely nullified in this case?

Also I would greately appreaciate your help if you can refer to the

corresponding sections in "Brihat Jataka by Varahamihira" which

mentions about Kuja Dosha & cases of mullification.

Thanks,

Prasad

Dear Siva Prasad,

Yes there are various dictums on nullification of Kuja

Dosha, but according to me as per my experience in

vedic astrology, in your case don't expect it to be

completely nullified, though it won't harm you as

much. But at the time of marriage, horoscopes should

be matched with due consideration.

Dear P,

In his book " How to Judge a Horoscope ' Dr B V Raman writes that Mars in

Aries, Scorpio and Capricorn is harmful to the extent of 50%.
