To all Wizards out there :

i have few basic questions, that i am really really curious to know on

1. i've heard from a prominent astrolger show on TV, that a person's destiny is

only limited to 9 planets & 12 houses. is it right ?

if yes, does this not undermine human efforts & struggle for betterment ?

2. if Planet placements or Star/Raasi does determine a person's fate to a large

extent, then

cant this science be used to plan carefully & produce super-babies ? :)

3. Next, why are there so many mantras, yantras & gemstones & what have you

to counter bad effects? Cant it be much simpler ? like genuine faith, sincerity

& devotion

to the Lord? Wont these tools ( mantras et al) be used by say individuals who

perform bad deeds

to redeem themselves.

4. what is the ultimate objective of astrology?

thats it, sorry if my questions are silly, but please do answer them.

i will read up some material which one other kind member sent me.

Till then, have a great day.

Hi Manjunath,

I would like to answer this question. I do understand

the essential for planning. But unfortunately fate and

planning do not go in line with each other. I would

like to narrate a small incident which happened. I am

sure you remember the entry to the new millenium the

Y2K or the year 2000. There was a major craze for a

lot of people who wanted to have their babies on

January 1st 2000. I also remember while I was in

bangalore some people exactly 9 months and 9 days in

advance took off and went away to nearby resorts along

with their spouses to facilitate planning for the

child birth. They wanted to conceive on a particular

day so that the child will be born on January 1st. I

am aware of atleast 5 couples who left for ooty. But

what actually happened was that none of them had a

child on 1st January 2000. Of the 5, one child was

born premature, 1 never became pregnant at all because

of the rythmic cycle not falling on that day and off

the other 3 one child was born on 31st December 1999,

one child was born on 3rd January 2000 and one was

born on 9th January 2000. And these couples had

planned everything in advance in such meticulous

manner. You may ask that the 2 children who were born

in January could have been born on January 1st 2000 if

induced by caesaerean. But both the mothers ran into

some complications and the doctors advised agains

caesaerean on 1st January despite they being admitted

in the hospital.

Now, the amount of planning that went into the entire

process was so meticulous that these 5 couples who

were friends had also give an interview in one of the

local editions of a popular news daily.

But the news that came on January 2nd in the same

paper was that 2 of the maids working in 2 of the

participants houses had their babies on 1st Jan 2000.

The maids were illiterates and I am sure no one

advised them of the planning they need to do for a

baby on 1st jan 2000.

This only goes to prove that there is a super natural

power which decides on what we deserve is the best.

There is a lot that we want to do and we plan for it.

But many of the times things do not happen the way we

desire. And astrology gives insight into the purpose

that God almighty has defined for us in this life

time. I would say it gives clarity to the purpose of

life.

This is my humble opinion to your thoughts.

Regards,

John

DISCLAIMER: Just because I am responding to this message is not

sufficient evidence or reason for claims or confusions in anyone's

mind of me being a wizard!

1. Well, 9 planets times 12 rashis times 16 vargas (more if you

included the jaimini vargas etc) times nakshatras etc .. not too

shabby a set of variables if you ask me.

yes personal effort is important but it is not completely

independent in all individuals at different stages of soul growth.

The third house deals with courage, self-efforts and so does its

harmonic equivalent, dreshkana chart. Mind you, it is not a room but

more like a door and in some, the door does lead to a room, in

others to a huge hall and in a few to the great outdoors!

2. Have you not read the parable about Parashra muni and

matsyagandha?

3. Time for a personal plug! Obviously you have not read what I have

written on this topic. I think there is a file in here and at

www.boloji.com

4. To examine and see the seemingly disjointed correlation between

patterns of human experience (life) and those made by the planets

and rashis. In statistics, one is cautioned about correlations not

to be confused with causality. More so in astrology where

correlation between moon kendra jupiter and fame and success often

gets confused and we say things like gajkeshari caused him to become

famous or jupiter or moon did. Actually the two phenomena are

parallel and seeing that kind of parallel and apparently unconnected

phenomena in the universe indicate that there is intelligence behind

the creation, and not some random chaos. Astrology can thus assure

us about there being a 'future' in a long term way and so something

to look forward to. At some stage of development there also remains

the possibility of being able to plan our life to some extent and to

make more efficient use of the time we spend in each incarnation on

this earth. Mind you, not all of these happen to everyone in each

lifetime, but it is never too late to begin planning our soul's

journey.

Hello Manju,

I think most of us at some point or the other have the

same musings about what it all means !! .. it;s when

we start our journey to find the answers and we do

come up with our own versions of answers that keep

growing along with us !!

>From where i stand this is how I see things:

People can be decided by 9 planets and 12 rasis etc if

it were to be that fate was the only force that

propells us forward in life ...

I believe, apart from fate there is free will (like

all the hulla raised recently) and more importantly

there is god (or divine intelligence) above who act on

a people and events at any given point of time ..

there are many other factors as well the environment

we grow up in etc ... (maybe even the mantras we learn

:))

As I see it .. planets only convey to you what

experiences you have to undergo in your journey

towards your destiny ... they most of the times do not

decide the outcomes of the events unless the

inclinations are very strong ...

Every birth to me is a new slot given to us to start

afresh (that is if you believe in soul and rebirth) ..

there are tendencies that we to based on our

own past actions ... these tendencies are shown in our

horscopes with 9 expressions of personality trains as

planets and 12 houses as platforms

personal/interpersonal relations (loosely) ...

remedies are our means of reducing the ill effects we

might have to undergo simply because with every new

birth we have cut from our previous lives .... god

indeed is benevolent (whoever whatever it is)

Plantes also indicate your destiny ... and palnets

also indicate limitations you have to overcome wiht

will and determination to reach taht destiny ... how

much of will we excersise decides our fate (as against

our destiny) ..

Can we plan babies that dont fall in our scheme of

things as we march towards our destiny?? u decide!!

To me the ultimate objective of astrology is to get a

glmipse into the mind of the creator and realise what

his will is in creating the world as he has done it

.... and move forward without letting our personal

experiences narrow our vision by realising the grand

scheme of things ... to me astrology is also a means

of realising our potentials and limitations and

maximising what we desire in our own lives !

To me the ultimate goal of human life is to go reverse

engineer "Big bang" and go back to the primeval state

of nothingness ...

However ultimately, you have to find your own answers

in your own way, we can at most inspire you on what

sounds like a good path to tread !!

Good luck !

Surya.

Dear Friends, further to my questions (still expect more friends in the forum to

respond.)

i read with great relish & some amusement John's mail. hey, so its definitely

worth a try

for creating super kids... how does one do the meticulous planning ??

Rohini-ji's article is now carefully saved in my harddisk for many more re-reads

guess she occupies the premium super rarified atmosphere, the language is

elegant

& crisp. Surya again has given very interesting points to reflect on.

Now i want to know if there any sure-fire actions, mantras & general guidelines,

anybody ir-respective of gender can follow to achieve effective personal traits

like discipline, time management, spiritual leanings etc.

for eg. the Gayatri mantra i believe in, certainly helped me in times of

difficulty.

imagine, i could recite, remember it without any effort in just under half an

hour

the first time i saw the mantra. of-course, i bought a audio-tape to refine

my pronounciation.

OTHER MEMBERS : PLEASE RESPOND TO MY ORIGINAL QUERIES....

Hello Manjunath,

The perplexity of any question can jugded by the fact

that it not only creates an atomosphere of curiousity but also leads

us to a journey of self discovery. Before i answer any of the

questions, let me ask something if you were given an option to go on

four different paths, would going on a particular path is important

or reaching destination is important. Remember one thing all the

paths leads us to same destination. And it is how we percieve our

steps through the journey- be it a tough steep hill or round curve-

the journey still continues.

1. Firstly can we undermine human efforts and struggle for betterment?

The human efforts when made in the right direction definitely

leads us to our betterment. But what if even our so called efforts

for betterment our struggle still continues. The same principle

applies for a person`s destiny. Astrology is not confined to 9

planets & 12 houses, it is much more than what we see it as. The real

essence of any subject can be felt through experience. As now you see

it as 9 planets & 12 houses, but tomorrow you might see it as a

subject much more deeper than you thought. And one form to go to

depth of the ocean is to dive in the sea of knowledge. True once a

baby is born you see it as a magnificence creation of God, but as the

time progresses you are startled by all the revelations of even the

minutest activity that the baby does. Similarly to confine ourselves

to a room and to smell the odour of the rose over the hill will lead

us to a world of make belief. Where we havent explored the beauty but

still we are commenting on its elegance. Exploration is important,

not commenting on it.

2. There are certain texts which go on length to produce super-babies

or in simple words good individuals(i dont know what you refer by

super-babies, for me a definition can be different from yours) and

Rohini ji have given some references also. Here i would like to add a

comment there are sciences where you can literally have a baby girl

or a baby boy(whatever your preference is, i consider both to be

same) by following them. They are basically Swar Shastra or Gyan.

But what i feel that the ultimate creator of all knows everything and

controls it effectively. So until you have got the God`s grace even

you try to practice them there wont be much benefit.

3. Lets us confine ourselves to Matras and Yantras. Mantras and

Yantras are methods of praising God and to show our effection in a

subtle but yet powerful way. Now this does not mean that you cant

show the effection in other simple ways. These again relate to deeper

secrets which one can only explore by going through the vedas and

other related texts. The essence of praying to God through Mantra `s

where experienced and understood by great rishi s. They knew what is

the bast way to praise the ultimate power who has given us life. That

is what you see now as mantras and yantras. And in simple words would

it possible without God`s grace?

4. The ultimate objective of astrology in simple terms is betterment

of an individual, a society and the belief that even if there is pain

there also exists a healing power. In complex terms it is to attain

moksha as all the goals lead us to the path of Atma joining with the

Parmaatma. Be it whether it is for improvement of ourselves or be it

our fall. The hadcuffs even if are made of Gold still remains

handcuffs, so it doesnt matter whether you arr wearing iron ones or

gold ones.

Hi Gaurav ji, good evening... & a big thank you for your inputs.

Esp. Point no. 3. ie. the efficacy of Mantras & Yantras

apart fm the Gayatri, i only know the Rama mantra, i mean the following one

Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Oh yes, recently we bought a pyramid yantra which has yantra's figures

drawn on each face ( not sure which ones) and a secret mool mantra

which the pandit gave me on a tape. Once i get a handle on it, i will share it

with the members

so that all may benefit. hope no issues

this sunday i plan to master it :) (no time with the quarter closure)

CAN WE ALSO THINK OF PRAYING FOR ONE PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL SPECIFICALLY ON

HIS/HER PROBLEM IN OUR DAILY PRAYERS...

PLS. GIVE IT THOUGHT & REFINE MY QUESTION TOO. MAYBE TAVIR JI SHOULD GUIDE, I

KNOW THE QUIZZES GENERATE

INTEREST FOR EXPERIENCED MEMBERS. HOW DO PPL. LIKE ME CONTRIBUTE ?

Please advice me on few other good mantras, i would like definitely want to

chant them.

will it require my horoscope details or can one chant any mantra as they will?

( dob: 25.07.1973.... time of birth : 10:05 PM.... place of birth : bangalore)

sanjeev-ji sent me a detailed mail which has thrilled me no end.. thanks again

sanjeevji

Ohhh.. one other thing, i think i am quite lazy, a trait which infuriates me so

much,

that the person in the mirror gets a earful once in a while, i cant help but

feeling my

talents, energies are still dormant, i really want to bring them out, i wonder

how to unleash them

i finish jobs/tasks in an intense burst of energy/activity & then go back to

sleep :(

Hah... super babies or good babies ... Yes, most interested... why not ?? .. i

am sure others

too will be curios. Pls. send in more details

Re: Perplexing Questions

Parmaatma. Be it whether it is for improvement of ourselves or be it

our fall. The hadcuffs even if are made of Gold still remains

handcuffs, so it doesnt matter whether you arr wearing iron ones or

gold ones.

Hi Manjunath,

I think Sanjeev has already done a detailed prediction

for you which are correct, so let us not doubt the predictions of any

astrologer of the group. A couple of things for you, Sat-Kt in 4

house gives affliction to heart in short makes your heart weak.

Moreover, your venus is in 6 house. Whenever Venus is in 6 house, it

is advisable to go for arranged marriage and not to induldge in any

extra martial affairs. Also the Jupiter in 11 house is a real

blessing for you. You will be an industralist and will employ many

people. Expenditure on conveyances cannot be ruled out.

I think Sanjeev has already told to chant Rahu mantra`s. For more

info you can refer to my message 7236 for rahu remedies. Also you can

chant the following Sani Beej mantra 108 times every day.

Om praam preem praum sah shanayishraya namah

Apart from this reciting the following dasanama stotra of Shani by

Dasharatha near a Pepal tree is also a highly recommended one.

Konastha pingalobabhruh

Krishnoroudraantakoyamah

Souri, shanaischaro mandah

Pippaladishu sansthitah

And as for the super babies are concerned, you can read the texts

suggested by Rohini ji earlier.

Dear Gauravji, thanks

please, no, i cant even think of doubting whatever sanjeevji said.

kindly dont interpret it that way.

my intention was to learn more mantras which suits me, instead of

stumbling though.

Please fwd me the Rahu Mantra's plus Rohini-ji texts on babies.

since i am just a baby in this forum, 4 days old. :)

maybe to my personal id, so as to not inconvenience others.

Re: Perplexing Questions
