Guest guest
Hello Everybody, I am new to this group and am amateur student of astrology. Thanks to Tanvir Ji and all others patrons for this wonderful forum, for helping people deal with their issue/life and for enlightening many others with your deep knowledge of the subject. According to Tanvir Ji, one shall only strengthen the benefics planets using gems and mantras, and propiate malefics' with prayer, strotras, dana etc. However, I am really unclear about how people decide which planet is benefic and which planet is malefic at an overall level in a person's horoscope. The most common way of classifying malefics/benefics, mentioned on this forum and in other texts is that: 1. Lords of Lagna, Putra and Dharma Bhav are strong benefics 2. Lords of Ari, Randhra and vyaya bhav are strong malefics 3. Lords of Labh Bhav is a malefic only of matters related to life, but is good for material aspects 4. Lords of Dhan and Yuvati bhav are Marak, in which lord of second bhav is stronger marak than Yuvati Bhav. 5. Benefic owning a kendra sheds is positive, Benefic owning two kendras (4, 7, 10, not the Lagna) become malefic. Like Jupiter for Virgo and Gemini, and Mercury for Sagittarius and Pisces. If that benefic is sitting in Kendra too it becomes even stronger Malefic. 6. Malefics owning a kendra shed its negative and becomes a yogkaraka if its owning a Kon at the same time. All this classification is based on lordship of planets, what about their position and drishti of other planets on them. To be more specific: 1. Would you consider Shukra (Lord of Dhana and Dharma) posited in Aayu Bhav benefic/malefic for Virgo Ascendant? 2. Would you consider Shukra (Lord of Dhana and Dharma) posited in Vyaya Bhav benefic/malefic for Virgo Ascendant? To be even more specific, would you recommend wearing a diamond ring for any person having any of the above two combinations? Similarly, for Leo Ascendant, would you consider Sun (Lord of Lagna) posited in Aayu Bhav benefic/malefic? would you recommend this native to wear a Ruby? Finally, for Libra Ascendant, Mars is the lord of Dhan and Yuvati Bhav, and therefore a prabala marak. Now is it better for a Libra ascendant to have a mars debilitated in Karma Bhav, or to have Mars Exalted in Matru/Sukh Bhav? In my Horoscope, Mars is debilitated in Karma Bhav and the Lord of Karma Bhav Moon is in Lagna? What impact you think it should have on my career, money and marriage prospects? I have sun Exalted in Yuvati Bhav. Also, Mercury is debilitated in Sixth Bhav, conjunct with Ketu and aspected by Rahu, and is retrograde and AtmaKarak in my horoscope. Its Lord of Vyaya Bhav and Dharma Bhav? Jupiter is situated in Dharma Bhav. Is it benefic or malefic? Should I wear an Emerald? Venus (the Lord of Lagna and Aayu Bhav) is situated in its own sign in Aayu Bhav? Is it benefic or malefic? I am really excited to know about this forum, hope to learn from your expertise and would do my best to contribute to this forum in any ways...... Just in case: My time and Date of Birth: 23rd April 1978, Jhalawar, Rajasthan India and time of birth is 18:55:00. Thanks and I apologize if my post is too long. Guest guest
Rattan Lal's Nadi methods of astrology (not remembering the exact title) and Sareen's translation of laghu and madhya parashari (one book) -- these two if studied thoroughly will remove all doubts as to these matters. Both are very small books like most other pocket books published in jyotish but very pithy as to facts contained in them. You will get your money's worth by reading those. Guest guest
Generally lords of Konas means 1,5,9 lords are taken benefics. And most of the times all other lords become malefic this way or that way, virtually :-( The most important thing for remedies is to know that when you do mantras of a Deity related to a planet, you always get the good of planet REGARDLESS to the maleficness and beneficness of the planet. This is the only thing one needs to know basically. It is most important EXAMPLE. Guest guest
There used to be a web bookseller called astroamerica.com and another one JDR Enterprises. You might be better off writing directly to Sagar publication (they might have a website) and ordering directly from there. Do a bit of effort on the web and I am sure you will find a few hits. rr , Pushpendra Agrawal <pink6ul> wrote: > RohiniJi, > > Thanks for your email. I will try to locate and purchase these books. Guest guest
Tanvir Ji, Thanks for your reply. Would this mean that Mantras for any plantets are good, as chanting Mantras would reduce the malefic qualities of a naisargik and/or functional malefic and manifest its positive qualities/effects. >From what you wrote, would it be safe to conclude that a natural and functional Benefic (Lord of Dharma) if debilitated would cause more problems and show more malefic tendancies than a natual Malefic but Functional Benefic (Lord of Dharma) without debilitation or severe affliction? Would it be advisable to wear a gemstone in any of the above two scenarios? Thanks for your reply and for helping everybody.
