Mega Quiz from Crystal Pages (CPQUIZ 1)

Thanks Tanvir for encouraging others to post quizzes. I pulled out

a few (9 charts, some with two quizzes in one!). The birthtimes are

excellent – the coordinate data you may want yo check as different

software seems to give a bit different values.

 

I have given the gender and on occasion some known events or

professions, etc to reduce the coldness of the reading. Where

given, these known facts are NOT to be taken as hints of any kind.

 

Here are a few suggestions:

In a cold reading situation, it is easy to get biased, so I suggest

that rather than on the open forum, individuals post their responses

in the form of a file with the respondant's name

for example CPQuiz1 - rohiniranjan.wpd will have my responses

CPQuiz1 - inder.doc will have Inderji's response (hope you don't

mind me using you as an example, Inderji)

For added protection, individuals can upload password-protected

files of the responses. This way, if you are wrong you simply

delete your file after I disclose the correct answers and no

embarassment ensues. Or you may choose for others to learn from

your mistakes, particularly if you only got 1 wrong out of 9

charts ;-). Your choice!

 

Unfortunately, the passwords will work only for readers who have

those wordprocessors. I only have wordperfect here, but someone

else may have msword and may help to post the responses for the

benefit of others. If everyone has wordperfect then let us use that

for all entries. I am sure that is a minor problem.

 

There are NINE (case A to case I) cases. Not all need to be

attempted. Epochs given in 24 hr format. Months spelled out to

avoid different conventions of writing dates.

 

Only up to two possibilities/informed guesses per ?? per case should

be entertained. If you must have more then make sure you sort them

in the order of importance. If I think that the following three are

possible for a date:

Marriage

Accident

loss of money

 

Then if the correct answer is loss of money, I will be allowed to

gloat less than another individual who has chosen loss of money as

the first choice! Also, give brief responses. This sharpens the test!

 

I know this is getting a bit involved and complicated but if we are

going to do this properly, then let us cut down bias as much as

possible.

 

One hint: The events in these cases are ALL clear-cut and ones that

you would come across regularly. That is the best way to start and

to judge the efficacy of astrology.

 

Suggested format:

 

Case A (example only. Not the real answer!)

Ascendant xx degree 22 minutes (just so we know there was no

accidental error when you fired up your CPU)

Ayanamsha if possible (this being a multicultureal community!)

Answer: I think the person got a booker prize on that day

OPTIONAL explanation (not required but nice to have): I think this

is so because mercury was smoking hash that day (with the judge) and

the individual had just come out of a Harry Potter movie that

magically charged his .... no seriously, only astrological

explanations, please!
