Guest guest
Hi Inder, Assuming that you missed this response, I did a search for the data for Balaji and found it in recent postings. This chart poses two interesting challenges one being the fact that the ascendant is right on the cusp between Gemini and cancer (if actual birthtime was a few minutes later than stated, the chart would change). This naturally makes it somewhat unsuitable for illustrations even with rectification if that works, because of the inherent uncertainty about data quality. But I will take a brief dip, anyway and try to capture some brief notes about my line of thinking as I look at this chart. Secondly, the atmakaraka switches from Mercury to Mars depending on the ayanamsha that one chooses. Chitra ay. makes Mercury the atmakaraka whereas Raman ayanamsha makes Mars the atmakaraka. At first look, his being a published author would seem to fit with mercury (although not all with mercury as atmakaraka are published or successful authors) but his having published abroad on a topic such as Sherlock Holmes and mysteries also fits with mars being in 7th house with rahu. I am not aware of the dates etc., but the period after february 2000 would seem to have triggered the opportunities in that endeavour (Me-ma and Me-rahu by raman ayanamsha. Mercury is moderately strong (shadbala) but debilitated with its dispositor also debilitated and in the 8th. Mercury therefore as a source planet would not be very strong in material things. It would however have a very interesting spiritual significance. It is placed in the star of jupiter - making jupiter its sign and nakshatra dispositor. Jupiter is debiliated but with several cancellations - its exaltation dispositor moon is in cancer and in kendra from jupiter and mars (planet that gets exalted in capricorn) is in the 7th, is atmakaraka and with rahu. Mars expresses its energies in terms of sun (in sun's star) while rahu expresses its energies in terms of venus who is in the 9th house in an exchange with the 12th house (LO9 in 12, Lo12 in 9). 2000-2003 were perhaps quite significant years in terms of beginning of spiritual advancement through some negative influences in areas of relationship or other worldly matters (planets in badhaksthana and other influences). He probably felt very stiffled, limited in some ways or simply something like a writer's block etc. That was a time of frustrations and yet a period of immense growth. The period from August 2003 to end of 2005 will be characterized by an intensification and strong focus on some area in life and the outcome will be good. Expenses will mount and it would be advisable to invest wisely and not impulsively and to stay clear from litigations as much as possible. After 2005 there is a strong possibility of change in surroundings, focus in life, perhaps a move abroad, and marriage or equivalent, etc. The imagination is very very strong and the nativity engages in day- dreaming readily. Being an author of fiction, this is not such a bad trait to have, I suppose! He will also be a very astute editor and reviewer/critic and at times might have had some earnings out of technical writing, dry as it may sound. An intense desire to reach out to many and to give out the message is a strong driver in this nativity and after 2010/2011 there will be a strong possibility of this coming about. There would be some frustrations too as mars in badhaksthana is involved then. but in general a period with a station much lifted than now. If Balaji is reading this, he may wish to comment and also, did he have skin disorders or allergies particularly when he was younger (childhood) or some blood disorder. Does he have a mark or red mole on the face or lower abdomen. Dark, shiny eyes that tend to dart around would be likely if he has cancer rising, but an intense gaze if gemini rising and a tendency to get angry and impulsive at times (he gets frustrated if there is not enough activity or stimulation). Only he can tell! To others he would come across as a deep but very private man and one who is lost deeply in thoughts. between last november and this july there could have been a serious illness or demise in the family or circle of relatives or a closure of some significant undertaking, possibly. I have not seen badhakesh specifically associated with death in individuals, in fact badhakesh is often not bad at all unless otherwise afflicted. Planets in badhakasthana are a different story and are often associated with delays and more likely to cause heartbreaks and frustrations, foiling projects after one has worked hard at those -- kind of in line with the meaning of the term, badha or obstruction. I forget the name of the classic now but in there it was mentioned that if badhakesh is also the lord of the 22nd drekkana (kharesh) then it can be associated with death or death- like situation. No example pops out at this time. As it stands, I have generally not been too involved in exploration of death and dying. I am old fashioned and would not tell an individual lightly even if I see clear indications of death. I would much rather spend my energy into advising people how to plan their life with astrology. Like you, I do not seek readings nor do I look into my chart often. For me, the horoscope is not a tool for enhancing spirituality or seeking spirituality. But, to each his own, as the saying goes. , "Inder" <indervohra2001> wrote: > Dear Rohini ji, > I not very clear about the concept of badhaksthana, and how it works. > About death/health problem etc I wrote what is written in texts. > I saw some charts where expected results came quite late with a lot > of difficuties when for Cancer ascendent where Moon i in 11th > house ,-should have given good results early. > Can you tell -- Badhaka word means obstruction or killer ? > I was seeing Balaji,s chart in this forum. Guest guest
Dear Rohini ji, Thanks for clarifications. Actually we see the charts quite differently. For me in Balaji's chart, Mars is in 6th house with Rahu, Jupiter is in 7th house and Sat is in 11th house.Ketu in 12 th and Moon in 1st house. So the things and interpretations change drastically. Anyway this is how it is !! Guest guest
I am not at all surprised -- with different ayanamshas, different house systems and different treatment of house cusps etc. in the system you follow, this is bound to be the case.
