Guest guest
I am very curious, for a selfish reason, to hear from people who have actually had personal experience of receiving a professional paid reading (Jyotish or astrology). Without naming names, I would like their candid views about the following: a) What were your expectations when you went in or applied for the reading? b) To what extent were your expectations met, what did not match up with your expectations? c) Did you feel you paid too much, too little? d) Did you go back for a follow-up reading or discussion? Did the astrologer encourage that? Did he provide you with a technical review when you asked for it? How useful was this follow-up? e) How many of the predictions came true? Give us a flavour of the type of events s/he predicted. This is important because one major life-changing event is worth more than many minor events! f) How many different astrologers have you visited/consulted and why so many (if you can share) g) Overall, do you think that getting a reading on the web (free readings, mostly by beginners etc) are more satisfying than paid professional readings? Is it only because of money saved? h) Is or was money an issue in not being able to get a paid reading due to your circumstances at the time? did you bring this up and was the astrologer sensitive to it and responsive or was s?he too business like? i) Did you 'shop' around, seek references like you would when getting a mechanic to look at your car or were you less careful? j) Were you a bit quesey when approaching the astrologer because you did not think he or she was like other human beings or other human service providers? Did he or his demeanour such that you were forced to be careful and less upfront? Thanks Rohiniranjan
Guest guest
Actually a pertinent question. I have consulted maybe about 20 very very good astrologers. Very Very good becoz a lot of other people (who had no interest in promoting that particular astrologer) recommended that person with personal examples and satisfaction. in almost all cases, the past was perfect! 100/100 almost, but the future was only near 10% accurate. about 18/20 were commercial. that is directed you to do somethign that indirectly meant some income to them or over charged . In almost 18/20 I felt "THIS IS THE PERSON WHO CAN GIVE ME A REAL INDICATION OF WHAT WILL REALLY HAPPEN" After i finished with the session the feeling of "This person is very good" was only 9/20 after a few months or years, that feeling droped to 2 out of 20 certainly this cannot serve the basis for judgement of the science. But I have also come to a very fundamental conclusion which people can PLEASE support or correct me. That is: An astrologer is very good ONLY to a percentage of his clients, even with identical problems. NOT to all. That is where one astrologer may be good to some, actually is unable (not does not or will not) to do a good job for a few of his clients. I do not know why this happens. Maybe it is in the horoscope of a person that even when help comes, his/her horoscope is so strong that it can negate or dilute the help. it is really no fault of the astrologer. That is my view. Guest guest
Dear Rohiniji, Your list of queries is long. Let me also give my inputs if it is of any help or if if it is interesting. I have never ever consulted any astrologer. Only long ago when I was learning with a group of friends, somebody read my chart and told me many things which put me in the state of anxiety. Later his reading came out to be wrong. After learning KP I understood that house is to be taken from cusp to cusp. And how the planets give results.I realize the mistakes of my friends. He made long analysis where Ven sitting where it went in Navvamsa and how it shifted in Dwamsa etc etc, strenght and aspects etc. I had to unlearn some astrology I learned by that time. I also sticked to my decision taken at that time that I shall never show my chart to any person. Otherwise also I donot take my decisions in life based on astro considerations. I dont know which anthra I am running now. I donot see trasits on daily basis.I only see the things broadly. See how we dance to the tunes of destiny but in a broad prospective. As I noticed my reading to many people proved to be correct using KP, I participate as a hobby or as a service to help people. ( whinin limits of my capabilities). As I go by basic principles I dont think for research etc as you often point out to all. I also believe that you can not change destiny by astro forecasts. Regards.......... Guest guest
Thanks. One point of clarification. I do not necessarily insist on 'research' by itself or recommend it for everyone. I do like to see examples though, because in my experience, a lot in jyotish is regurgitated from untested, unexperienced tenets by everyone from beginner to the mahatmas. This does not mean that I will accept only that which comes with a set of proof, but then if we are not prepared to present a proof we must leave a bit of room for doubt so that others may test it and so on. A case in point, you use KP and your readings done here and perhaps elsewhere are demonstrating to others and more importantly to yourself that the system works wonderfully in your hands. That is the kind of feedback that really helps one, the testbed of real experience. Bravo! KP was a very big paradigm shift in my life in understanding the vimshottary and how it ties in with a western progression (they missed out on the progression being one that moves at variable speeds instead of a degree per year!) Thanks again, RR , "Inder" <indervohra2001> wrote: > Dear Rohiniji, > Your list of queries is long.
