I've just joined this e-group. I dont know anything about jyotisha,

but I do want to start to learn it. I dont know where or how to

start. I have been reading through all the posts here and I do have 1

burning question which I would like to pose to those much more

experienced and wiser than me:

 

In our (Hindhu) tradition, am I correct in believing that (in all our

epics, Puranas & Vedas,etc) there is no one single entity equivalent

to the Christian/Islamic/Judaic Satan - since the negative aspects of

the Navagraha play most of the attributes given to that entity, is

that right? And where does the fierce aspect of Lord Shiva

(Kalabhairava) and DurgaDevi (Smashana-KaliDevi) fit into here?
