Dear friends,

Could anyone elaborate on the significance of seeing Murties

(dieties in the form of statues) in dreams? Most recently, the dream

was about Murties of Lord Ganesha in various forms, laying on Adi

Shesha like Mahavishnu, dancing like Nataraja, in Sukhaasana, etc,

as well as a Murty of the Devi with multiple arms bearing weapons. I

was a little surprised, since typically I meditate on Krishna and

Siva, and those are the Murties that I usually see in my dreams. I

chant mantras on a rosary with a crucifix, and that is another thing

I see in my dreams, again as a Murthy (the cross, or a statue of the

Mother and Child) and not as the person (Jesus). I did recently

start meditating on the Devi, but this is in one of Her Saumya forms

such as Lakshmi or Lalita. Of course, all these are but different

forms of the one Infinite Divinity. At an astrological level, since

Ketu represents Ganesha and Rahu represents Durga, does this involve

anything to do with the nodes? Also, is there any significance to

the fact that it is Murties in my dream and not a human-like form

that fills my thoughts while I am awake? I know very very little

about Nimitta, and would appreciate some guidance.

Thank you in advance for your analysis.

Sincerely,

Venkatarama
