Guest guest
To everyone: We don't really know why the author of Hora Sara wrote this sloka as such. However, it is worth remembering in making compatibility assessments of couples. The assessment should include the comparison for kuja dosha and the kuta points. In my opinion, the rationale for the sloka could be as follows: 1. For females with Pisces lagnas, the 7th lord is Mercury which is debilitated in the lagna itself. 2. For Sagittarius lagna, the 7th lord (Mercury) is debilitated in the 4th house, the bhava signifying the home. 3. For Cancer lagna, the 7th lord (Saturn) is debilitated in the 10th house of careers. Guest guest
To everyone. Marriage and compatibility is very complex subject and as such most jyotish texts devote a nubmer of slokas to describe the subject. One sloka can never suffice. My understanding is that it is always better to consider all the slokas and judge the impact totally. On a philosophical point. I believe that not all jyotish knowledge is written down in the texts [some texts are explicit about this] and the same must be augmented by experience and discipleship. -Manish P.
