OM [explore_vulcan] Sat 4/24/2004 8:55 AM Cc: Rakshas Vedas: From Souvik Dear Members, Is there any reality in this story: After Vivishan was made the ruler of Lanka, one of the first tasks he did was to destroy the Rakshas Vedas. This Veda was so powerful that it could overpower the Aryan Vedas. However, excerpts from this Veda were carried to North India by some learned Brahmins and preserved there. Is there any truth in this story. Did anything called Rakshas Veda exist in reality. Does anyone have any knowledge about this subject. Regards, Souvik ~! Guest guest
Hi Raman, Any information about the existence of the same. I mean any excerpts from it is avaialble? Well, yes Kerala is a probable place. I have got input from some people in AP (andhra) about the same but the texts are with some North Indian houses. Anyway, any input on this would reveal a very important aspect in World as well as Indian History.
