A Few Questions

I have a few queries regarding the following:

 

1. Having a planet in the same sign in both Rasi and Navamsha chart

(vagrottama). What are the benefits of this? Are they the same as

having a planet exalted or in multrikona sign?

 

2. I have noticed that academically sound individuals often have

Mercury in Scorpio and those fairing poorly have Mercury in Cancer.

Any comments?

 

3. I have found Jupiter in the 7th house or connected to the 7th lord

to cause severe problems in marriage. Any thoughts?

 

4. 13 June 1978, 0320AM, London, Daylight Saving Time.

This is my own chart which I have used to base most of my preliminary

learning on. I would be interested in any key observations

(education, wealth, career, marriage, family etc) that astrologers on

this board can make, so I can compare them with my findings Obviously

analyzing you own chart prevents objectiveness and often you end up

playing the detective looking for 'causes' of events rather then

predicting.

Hi Milan,

 

1. This discussion is going on in the group. Follow the postings with

vargottam in the subject line. My own thoughts:

Irrespective of the house (zodiac) it is in, the strength/weakness of

the planet is enhanced.

 

e.g.

 

Mer in Virgo in both D-1 and D-9 indicates he is really clever.

Mer in Pisces in both D-1 and D-9 indicates that he is not.

 

Vargottam enhances the effect of the planet wrt zodiac it is in.

 

2. Mer in Cancer is confused but about Scorpio, I am not sure. As far

as I knew, Mer is not very friendly with either Mars or Ketu so I

really donot know about this. However, this is for sure a scorpion

Mer is relatively better off than a Cancerian Mer.

 

3. Jup in 7th. "generally" causes delay in marriage. However, many

factors like house lordship is to be considered.

 

4. Learned members can comment on this.
