Dear friends,

22 April 2004, Day of Akshaya Tritiya...

Special Day to bring lasting achievements.

Akshaya Tritiya is one of the most important days in the Vedic Calendar. On

this day, Surya and Chandra are both exalted. Only at this time of the year

are they both simultaneously in the state of exaltation. According to the

Vedic Texts, this was the day when the ancient Rishis performed the first

Yagya in the history of mankind.

This Yagya marked the beginning of the Golden Age, when people lived happily

in tune with Natural Law, where Unity Consciousness or Moksha was the

natural state of Human Consciousness. The special quality of this day is

expressed in the word "Akshaya" which means undecaying or everlasting.

Traditionally, Akshaya Tritiya is also the birthday of Parshurama presently

represented by Shukra confidently situated in Her Rashi Vrishabh

"Jivo Brahmaiva naparah". The jiva (the individual) is Brahm. Within the

reality of the individual is the lively potential of the Cosmic universe...

the most excellent of all lights... Jyotish

So in this very auspicious day let's offer our love and whishes of health,

wealth and happiness to all creatures living on this beautiful planet. May

this yagya find fulfillment in the tender and everlasting embrace of our

Sweet Mother.

Jean
