Dear Friends:

Did you feel the Full Moon, a few hours ago. At 5am, CST, the Sun & Moon were

both at 22 degrees, Sun in Pisces & Moon in Virgo. I, personally woke up at

2:30am, due to the incredible ŒWakefulness¹ of the Moon. And there it was,

streaming in, through the Windows.

Did you see that beautiful Moon, last night? Heavenly, sooo full.

Today, you¹ll continue to feel that fullness. Though technically the Moon now

begins it¹s 2-Week, Waning Cycle, you may not Œfeel¹ it, till tomorrow or the

next day.

So, enjoyment, enjoy that Fullness, is the message of the day. Good time to

enjoy, the fulfillments in your life.

Reflect on the focus and achievements of the last 2 weeks of the Waxing Moon.

Today, finds fulfillment of those activities.

Now, begins that Waning cycle, which will progressively feel more and more

inward, especially in contrast to the last few days.

It¹s like the Moon, rushes forth, fuller and fuller each day.

And we get swept up in that increasing dynamism, more and more... till Whoosh!,

or Burst!, the Moon ŒCrests¹....in it¹s Fullness....

And then, like a rubber balloon that was being pumped up more and more, it bursts!

Now, the Moon wants to retire, to rest, to turn inwards,....

And the next 2 weeks are a good opportunity to reflect upon the last 2 week¹s of

the Moon¹s Churning, Waxing's'... and especially think, How can we be better

organized, how can we be even more successful during the next Waxing Cycle?

This next 2 weeks is also a great time to reflect on the entirety of this whole last year!

It represents the last of the Sun in Pisces, transit, which is specifically

about endings, and fulfillments....

Then, as of April 13th....will begin...the whole Zodiac, cycle again...

We should celebrate our New Year¹s....on this day!

The Astrological year, really begins when the Sun makes it¹s way to the lst Degree of Aries, again!

This year... Have your New Year¹s Eve. Party on April 12th....

Do your New Year¹s Resolutions for this up-coming year, on the evening of April 12th...

Because a new Year, begins....on April 13th...

But, be ready, the very moment the Sun moves into it¹s Exalted Aries, it will be

a whirl wind. All the rested up energies of the Winter, now will get a chance

to burst forth.

All of Spring will be stirring, and the real, New Year will begin....

"Hi Mark, I agree with your approach, both the learning by trusting one¹s own

process and observing, and the balance that combining the two systems can

bring. (She means Western & Eastern, here) Each has a different bias because

of different cultural emphasis. We can learn so much from each other if we are

open hearted and respectful. After so long as a western astrologer, I have to

admit that I¹m a little bit in love with the Jyotish, at present, but I¹m sure

the balance will come later. Currently I find western astrology more

understandable, intuitively, but that¹s partly because I¹m so used to it, and

can read people without even the chart. Jyotish is much more of a discipline

for me right now. But your approach shows what can be done to bridge the gap

between the two systems. So many thanks once again... you are providing a

great service.²

³Dear Flo: It¹s nice to hear your perspective from especially the Western

angle. Most people don¹t know it, but I grew up in the Western system. I

remember reading from Carl Jung, the famous Western Psychologist, talk about

Astrology and it¹s insights for Psychology. I felt that keenly, when I sent

away for my first Western Astrology chart, in the early 70¹s. But, it wasn¹t

till I was in India in the late 80¹s, (1988), attending an Ayurvedic Course in

India, that I got exposed to the great Jyotish system.

I was so inspired both, by the Professional Jyotishees, I met, and the Vedic

Scholars who were teaching my course, that I came back to the states consumed

to see if I could indeed, learn this great field.

I had been partially, inspired by the statement of one Famous Vedic Scholar who

said: ³You all, (though I didn¹t take this too personally, being only 1 of

about 450 people attending that Ayurvedic Course),

"You all, will be your own best Jyotishee!²

I really had no clue why this had been said, but I had heard it before in

connection with other Vedic practices like meditation, and Ayurvedic pulse

taking.

So, I came back trying.

Over the years I found many wonderful truths in Jyotish, and also picked up my

Old love, Western Astrology too.

But, it wasn¹t till I started watching and studying the Transits, every day,

that Astrology totally, ŒCame Alive¹,....to me!

ŒWow,¹ I thought, Nature lives Astrology. These insights, opinions, rules and

principles in Astrology, (especially Jyotish),....¹wow, they¹re there in the

very fabric of Nature, as one can see, from the Transits.¹

That¹s what really got me into Jyotish, though now I like my expression;

......³Natures Astrology².

Because I believe a new dynamic, Astrology is coming!

It¹s an Astrology that will be totally modern, capable at conveying to our

present and even future generations, all the wonderful insights and Wisdoms of

Astrology to their practical lives.

I also believe it will contain the best of both Traditional Western & Eastern Astrologys.

It will also, hopefully, loose some of the weaknesses that are there in both systems.

I¹m writing an Article, right now, for Publication, that talks about these

Strengths & Weaknesses of both systems...

So, ŒFlo¹ thank you for your comments, and where, appropriate, we¹d love to hear

your insights and thoughts especially from your Western background.²
